Valkyrie Trading arts Detail pics
«
on:

Hi all, Just got the color version of the VP trading arts figures, since I deemed the Silmeria firgure to be ever so slightly hideous. Anyway if anyone else was interested, I figured I'd take some shots of the different characers from the color version (I don't have the 'secret' figure, though) in case anyone wanted to see how they came out.
(if this is unappreciated, or unwanted, tell me and I shall stop/revome this right away - just thought it might be helpful to some?)

Up first is Aluze/Arngrim(sp?) - forigve me , I'm going to slaughter a few names.

Face/front
Overall, I think he came out pretty good, though a little cockeye'd perhaps.

such a pain to photograph this one. The face and hair is a dissapointment, as is her standard pose, but could have been MUCH worse

Best I could do with her, she's too crunched up to shoot well.
Her face is lacking some of that playful look she always seemd to have in the game. And her chest area and armpit have some sore thumb casting/paining issues, imo

I'll get the other two tonight, or when I feel like pulling their plastic asses out and assembling them. Not that I particularly dislike Lezard or Lucian, but their character designs I found a tad boring..

I got a case of these yesterday. I think they look pretty good for what they are, much better than the Silmeria figure with the VP2 LE. It's pretty hard to transfer such detailed artwork to molded plastic...
My case had an unpainted Alicia. Doh. I guess you're guaranteed a full set of painted and unpainted 'revealed' figures in a case but the 'secret' figure is a toss-up between painted and unpainted. I wonder what the odds are.
I'm not interested in the unpainted figures so I might sell them on eBay in order to afford a painted Alicia that's bound to appear.

Yeah no kidding. I got mine for $40 shipped compared to the $220-something I'd have had to pay initially oer the price of just the game for one ugly silmeria figure, a keychain and a soundtrack. (Glad to see those snatchers taking a bath on the value now)
Got these as a colored set, no Alicia. Never was dying to get ahold of her, all the same, do you happen to have a shot of either the painted or unpainted Alicia?

Okay sorry about that, got caught up in things
Anyway Lezard only really has one side to him, thanks to his giant plastic cape, so he gets thrown in with Lucian/El Lucio
Check out the goofy plastic glasses - imo, a simple wire-type without lenses woud have been better
And while I don;t partticularly care for Lucian, I like the job they did on his armor

I got someone else to get me the scoop on these figs on gamefaqs (and a link w/ great pics and info too.)
Well, I got a link to a site of a guy who bought a full box set. He got a complete set of 6 in the box, but 2 characters were colored (with a Lucian dbl) and everyone else was ivory. He was lucky enough to also get a colored Alicia. Frei comes w/ a weight to not reveal her id. They guy need to order 3 boxes before he jas finally lucky enough to get a complete colored set.
... I also accidently got a panty shot of alicia... he forgot to put the dress thing on her. (Then I got another link w/ crazy shots. Too bad I don't have the link any more.)

ah, I bought these *as* a colored set, so there was no luck needed (thank goodness), though I didn't get Alicia

Haha, noticed? It wasn't intentional, just in the line of fire
Anyway, Lenneth should be my second post?

What? I don't see the hidden Valkyrie in the pictures. (It's like looking for Waldo. I can never find that guy.)

Hmm it didn't load last time, maybe it was my crappy modem playing tricks on me as it usually does.(I'll be home in a couple of weeks so maybe I'll be able to view it there

Haha it's the transforming jet in the second picture of Aluze. It's from Macross and is called a valkyrie.
