Something was going though my mind today... do you think that they'll remaster the music for the First Departure and Second Evolution? I mean, SO3's music was arranged beautifully, and I'd love to see that done to some of the songs from the first two games. I know it's more of a given for SO1 , but I dunno about SO2 because it's more recent.

Interview summary, scans

Finally. A Star Ocean game where you won't spend 80% of the game trapped on a backwater planet.

Sounds promising. Please be better than SO3.

Sounded to me like you might still spend 80% of the game trapped on a backwater planet, but it's distributed across a greater number of backwater planets, and in the other 20%, you get to fly the ship.

Cyllya predicts:
--Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World will reveal that Ratatosk was involved in ToS's last required scene in Heimdall.
--Tales of Vesperia's plot will involve space aliens in some way

that's how I want it. 80% of the game on one planet is kinda boring, especially for a game titled Star Ocean. So now they're making a game that actually lives up to the title...

I hope the game is massive and has lots of decently sized worlds. Star Ocean only has too much potential for that. and the title might make you think that as well.

SO4 should star Edge gathering up an unlikely team of heroes -- Ratix, Claude, Fayt, and George W. Bush Jr.

As an anti-sony guy from Europe, I'm not very pleased with this news.

Dammit.

At times like this I wish the  Wii was more powerful. At least we don't have to worry about waggle controls. Oh wait, Sixaxis LOL (hope they don't use it). Time to save my money. At least this goes a ways toward solving my 360/ PS3 decision. And Xbox is out of the question because they Japanese hate it.

I'm not particularly anti-Sony myself, but the British pricing really hurts. We can either have a 40GB version (with no PS2 backward compatibility at all) for £299 ($609.11) or a 60GB version for £425 ($865.72).

Given the sort of reaction from American gamers at the most expensive PS3 costing $599, you can probably imagine how I feel at our least expensive PS3 costing $10 more than that!

Well, let's put this into perspective. The federal minimum wage in the US $5.85. The UK minimum wage is 5.52 GBP. So essentially, Brits make twice as much money as Americans do. So I guess you could say it evens out.

US prices do not include sales tax, which can add another 9% or so to the price.

The "exclusive for PS3" info is completely bs btw. (relying on a GameWatch article subsequently corrected, something next-gen.biz is apparently uncapable of), no single platform for SO4 has been announced so far at all.
