Well, so far it doesn't seems like anyone has done it (in fact, now that I think about it, Star Ocean 2 is the only PSOne game I've seen an undub version of)... So, you'll either have to track down someone that does it and request it, or do it yourself.

Xenogears too:

Anyway... Unbdubs seem to be taking of now and seems like they'll do them with a lot of games (?)

Eternia was actually the first ever game that I played whose dub was so bad that I had to turn it off, so I stand by this plea (this said, I'd stay beside by pretty much every undub) But I think Eternia is one of those who really deserve it.

But... I don't think Phantasia Productions will make it, or even consider making it; it clearly goes against copyright stuff and makes up for a big patch... But, there's hope someone up to the task is reading.

Valkyrie Profile is another one that could use it. Dear Lord, what where those Voice Actors thinking?

Altough, I have to say, the Eternia dub grew on me. While I do admit it's hardly a top class work, it's not the worse around. But I have to admit, it's be interesting to see (well, hear) what the seyuus did.

I didn't mind the voices in Valkyrie Profile so much. They weren't great but they weren't terrible to point you can't stand them, like Tales of Eternia (Shizel's voice is just so horrible). Though I can agree on the fact they did overreact it too much.

Star Ocean 2 is one of those games you have play dubbed before considering the undub though.

"TEAR INTO PIECES!"

"10000 VOLTS!"

"DEAD TRIANGLE!"

"THE ENEMY!"

"I HAVE NO CHOICE!"

Dude, Valkyrie's Nibelung Valesti voice clip kicks so much ass. It's grating to hear how crappy it sounds by comparison by every character who ever uses Nibelung Valesti in VP2.

How do you even "overact" something that?

Cyllya predicts:
--Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World will reveal that Ratatosk was involved in ToS's last required scene in Heimdall.
--Tales of Vesperia's plot will involve space aliens in some way

Hummm, yeah, but... I don't remember it having a option to turn it off, Eternia had, hence why I did it.

RMarques are you portuguese/portuguese descendent or something? Marques is a very common surname here.

You can disable the voices in Eternia by setting the voice volume to 0.

Same here. I never cared too much about Eternia's VAs, but they never annoyed me to the point I'd wish there was an undub somewhere...

Although I never liked voice acting in RPGs. Maybe not in later ones with movie-like cutscenes, since there's really a lot of things to look at while a character talks and you can't manually advance the text, but on 2D RPGs (and some less realistic 3D ones) it's totally unnecessary, and I always turn it off whenever there's an option to.

That's how I did it for Eternia, but I don't remember having that option on Valkyrie Profile, and thus I endured the whole game with it.

that makes it two of us, then. ^_^

really O.o I thought that that and Layer´s storm´s VA were a lot overracted, and you cant say that Meredy´s "UNDINIIIIIIIII!" is not overacted ¬¬ though I have to say the crown is for SO2, "TANDERBOLTTTTT" and the first VA you ever hear, except for the opening "BOOOOORNNNN" that is a bad excuse for "Burn" LOL Truly good there is a undub Cheesy

By God, I would kill for an undub patch for ToE PSX.
I mean, sure, the VAing in ToE is LOVELY compared to the VAing in ToP GBA, but still, it'd be very nice. And we wouldn't have to deal with Farah's voice not matching how she looks anymore.

But then again, we'd need someone to sub the map hint skits, so maybe it's not as good of an idea as I thought in the first place...

The wha... Oh, let me guess, something that was removed on the US release, right?

They were never subbed in the first place. Subbed skits/face chats didn't appear in Tales games until Destiny 2. That was one of the problems when translating ToP-PS1, creating subtitles where subtitles didn't exist.
