Yes, after 29 pages, they're sure to realize their mistakes any time now... /sarcasm

Seriously, online petitions.  Let's not kid ourselves.

Online Petitions always get nowhere.

The others said for me.  Online petitions don't work but if you want more of an explanation about that...there's always the explanation at Snopes that really gives out the details.

Looks like this aspect has never changed in the fandom.

Organize a campaign to send a ton of Gummies to Bamco, a flavor for each unlocalized Tales.
(Save Grape for ToR. Or peach pies.)

Buying out copies of RM couldn't hurt either

I just have to make comments here.

Organize a campaign to send a ton of Gummies to Bamco, a flavor for each unlocalized Tales.
(Save Grape for ToR. Or peach pies.)

Heh.  Are we trying to pull off what fans of the TV show Jericho did here (expect replace nuts with gummies)?  Then again, Jericho, despite being saved, was forced to end.  Even despite that, at least what they did, with the timing, had did something, unlike online petitions.  Take notes here!

That's 'cause Jericho was barely watchable :p  Ever since Lost they've run the gamut on ensemble shows.

You could send old men with cats too, but that's probably in bad taste :p
Poor cats ._.

Bamco employee 1: Good lord! What's that smell?
Bamco employee 2: Is... that... an old... man?
Bamco boss: Now they've gone too far! We're making that fake ND4.
Me: Noooooooooooooooo!

cless: dude, that's just sick.

cless's would be Namco-Bandai.

ALMIGHTY NAMCO-BANDAI! OVERTHROW ALL THE LOCALIZATION PROJECT!

which would have a second playthrough extension dual tech hiougi with lloyd:

TEEEAAARR TOP GBA INTO PIECESSSSS

Namco doesn't listen to logic, let alone petitions or fans; they're in their high horse and dont give a damn, truth to be said.

I love Tales, but Namco really pisses me as a company right now; their decisions IMO risrespect a great deal their main userbase, either in US or Japan, and I won't submit for that.

Actually, Tales fans are the ones who don't listen to logic.  The Tales series hasn't done that well in sales in the States.  Localizations, especially good ones, cost lots of money.  Frankly, I'm shocked that Namco is moving ahead to improve the localization process for Tales of Vesperia, the series really hasn't done that much to deserve it in the US.

I beg to differ.

I'm shocked that Namco is doing Vesperia for the X360 as a exclusive for now; that's the real logic defying thing. Considering all the "keeping the userbase unified" bullcrap they sprouted last gen (that made sense actually) and the fact that Tales sells well in Japan, making it the main market for it.

But! if they're doing it on X360... it's only natural that it'll come outside Japan, hell, they are quite stupid (and moneyhatted) to do that, but they'd have to be totally retarded if they kept it Japan-only... as X360 doesn't sell in Japan. Didn't even need a confirmation after we knew it was for X360, really.

As for fans... Tales series has all the ingredients to sell, and it did on GC with Symphonia. The PS1 and PS2 games kinda flopped though, but we can easily understand some of the reasons; so should Namco, after all they also release popular games and know what they do for them and don't usually do for Tales. We fans are not unreasonable by comparison we don't expect ToD1, ToDR to be translated magically given their previous strategy.

But they're not even willing to talk or listen to us; hence why they've been milking tales series with some lower quality titles, too many of them coming at once, and stupid decisions all around.

Tales games from Team Symphonia will always come over though, they've said as much, Team Destiny is the one that is in question.

...so WHERE is the (Tales) userbase this console generation? Nobody frickin' knows. The PS3 is tanking harder than the GameCube did at its relative age post-launch. Assuming they all bought Wiis is a fallacy. All that sells on Wii is shovelware, games for grandpa (mostly first party), Nintendo all-stars, Resident Evil, and Guitar Hero. It doesn't help publishers that Nintendo has basically zero quality control these days (hypocritical on their N64 era mantra "Quality, not quantity") so the good niche stuff has to compete with an even greater ratio of junk than was on the PS2.

Vesperia went into development several months after Tales of the Abyss was released. They had 360 devkits well before PS3 ones. It's almost certain there's going to be a PS3 version anyway. The Play interview left that possibly wide open.

Anyway, I reiterate. I'd rather have Tales on PS360. An HDTV is not required to play those systems anyway.

NOT, on X360, that's for sure. Tales forums, and Japanese sales give that away dead on anyway.

Still I'll elaborate, IF, Tales of Vesperia was coming for PS3 and they said "ok, we can make the game multiplatform easily and so we will launch it on X360 as well" I could say, that's nice of them; but... releasing it on X360 as a exclusive (and without doing it cross platform previously like with Eternal Sonata and then even if they port it afterwards... wasting bucketloads?)

It's a completely stupid decision; and I think I'm being quite cold towards this, it's just what it is.

That's what they said, I'd bet Microsoft moneyhatted it, they'd most likely have to moneyhat a port even; let alone a exclusive.

They had loads of time to make it multiplatform with those graphics, it could be multiplatform with the wii even (and seeing the crap they're pulling on ToS2... that should be the level they'd be pushing on the Wii, not ToS2 crap)
Anyway, I reiterate. I'd rather have Tales on PS360. An HDTV is not required to play those systems anyway.
I don't, but that's besides the point; PS3 I could understand the argument "we started thinking the console wouldbe a success"... X360? it's madness, uncalled for, partial, moneyhatted and disrespectful.

I hate to say this about a Tales game, but I hope they fall on their face with that one.

I've bought a PSone and a PS2 mostly for tales, because they leaded and thus got the games (and made sense), but a X360? count me out of that twisted logic, I'm not a moving userbase for Microsoft to buy off of namco, they get my middle finger instead.

NOT, on X360, that's for sure. Tales forums, and Japanese sales give that away dead on anyway.

It's where nearly all new JRPGs are going at the moment, besides handhelds (the real winners in Japan). Where no-name games like Blue Dragon can manage 200k units. Inversely, Lost Odyssey came overseas and has done around 200k itself + 100k in Japan. 360 is the system to play new JRPGs on at the moment. Tales isn't the only thing still coming for it. Infinite Undiscovery is also around the corner. Star Ocean 4 is uncertain, and the only exclusives that matter going to PS3 are the FFXIII games, and maybe White Knight Chronicle. Disgaea 3 came and went, didn't really come close to replicating Disgaea 2's success.

That's what they said, I'd bet Microsoft moneyhatted it, they'd most likely have to moneyhat a port even; let alone a exclusive.

But at the end of the day, what gamers give a damn about platform, behind-the-scenes "moneyhats" and all these other meaningless straws that console warriors enjoy grasping at to justify their discontentment? Unless you've got parents that won't let you have more than one. Seriously. Why does it matter? I think it's hilarious when people complain about X game being for Y platform. I'm a gamer. I only care about games. Hardware companies can kiss my ass. When there are games I want, I buy the platform they're on. No more complaints! It's quite nice.

I don't, but that's besides the point; PS3 I could understand the argument "we started thinking the console wouldbe a success"... X360? it's madness, uncalled for, partial, moneyhatted and disrespectful.

The only other people I've seen complain with this much hyperbole about Vesperia are die-hard Nintendo-devotees. *Picard facepalm*
