Their PR is worse than when Capcom PR explain why you aren't getting original music in Tatsunoko Vs Capcom...

Considering the hell Capcom must have went through to just get the characters, you should be lucky. Characters > music, TBH, in a fighting game. Most of the time you're not even concentrating on it.

Context time!

Article on music changes.

Selected quote:

Quote
If we can't get the rights to a character theme (a theme 98% of the US market doesn't know in the first place), write some new music instead, and add stuff like... I dunno... extra characters -- that would be a watering down

Read the replies in article here.  Pretty much, he's saying most of the people won't know the theme, so it doesn't matter if we preserve the soul of Tatsunoko!  Aw, come on!  Tatsunoko isn't that well known here either and you're releasing the game here!  Most of the people that's been following the game know about those theme!  Those extra characters better be worth dealing with awful music!

Yeah, and Marvel Vs Capcom 2 has fantastic music.  (Yeah, jazz music makes a battle where badass Wolverine slashes Ryu's face.  Yes, we still notice stuff that isn't "Taking us for a ride!")  We still notice it and it can raise the excitement of the battle.

It doesn't matter either way!  Capcom's still better than the idiots at Namco!  Oh sure, they got the freakin' Star Wars music for the Star Wars characters' appearance in Soul Calibur IV but, that's right, science fiction characters do not belong in a freakin' medieval fighting game, no ifs, ands, or buts!  Dammit, Namco, you're proving more and more how stupid you are!

Oh, and speaking of Capcom, Namco was too stupid to release Namco X Capcom in English!  Never mind we don't know who most of the Namco characters are, that's what's Wikipedia is for!  Nevermind it's not much of a game either.  I mean, NIS actually released Cross Edge despite that the character aren't really well known or is not any good!  They freakin' release it, unlike you and releasing Namco X Capcom!  NIS found a way, you didn't!

See, Namco?  You are a bunch of idiots!

Oh yeah, almost forgot...dual freakin' audio!  Don't just dub it!  Give us Japanese voices too!
