To clarify each LMBS, these are the games that use it:
Option 1: Tales of Destiny Remake
Option 2:Tales of the Abyss, Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology, Tales of Symphonia: Knights of Ratatosk
Option 3: Tales of Rebirth
Option 4: Tales of Innocence
Option 5: Tales of Destiny 2

The poll will last for 60 days, hope eveyone votes Wink

The Abyss/Symphonia system is the best.

Yeah, but is losing :S, BTW I added ToD2 just because I thought it was a pretty strategic and very action packed system. But it is strange nobody voted for the Innocence system, it is quite good...

Not too many have played yet it I think.

I voted Aerial, though what I love about it so much is CC, not the aerial aspect.

Rebirth's 3-line LMB. Those two additional movement lines are the best thing they could add to a 2D field.

And I didn't vote just because of the lines, there are many aspects in Rebirth's system I like better than in other games, such as the Force Cube, the two-person Hi-Ougis and the RG.

Exactly. Unless ToD2, which I haven't played, doesn't use TP as well. But I'm almost sure it does.

it does, just not exactly the same way as in the other Tales games.

anyway, I voted Rebirth.  The only problem I ever found with it was when enemies changed lines EVERY 2 SECONDS!!!!!

Yeah the Ai is freackin intelligent, you are doing a combo and the second they have a chance, they change lines and go to kill your mages, that is why I dont like Hilda and Mao, unless they have good ougis I dont bother with them.

apart from that I found that Innocence style of play is awesome, it mixes pretty well the aerial and flex range LMBS, it is awesome how you can pick enemies, do something similar to unison attacks, overlimits, freerun, aerial attack, and a character that uses pistols (a la legretta!)
Here is a gameplay footage:

It is so good that you have even multiplayer Tongue, also now tempest is no more a main title in the series, Innocence has been announced as the ninth title in the series (continues talking about Innocence fanboyism) oh sorry, but vote as you please, that is the idea of the poll Cheesy

Ew, that's not fair. >__>

The fact that it's a bad game is no reason to just pretend it didn't happen. Not considering Tempest a main entry in the series doesn't make any sense. What is Namco thinking?

(Besides, I didn't find Tempest that bad at all. But that doesn't really matter anyway.)

Somehow I am with you on it as well, Namco really did a bad job trying to hide it Tongue,  well at least Innocence makes up for anything, the battle system is way smooother than most Tales games, I can say that it is on par with abyss Cheesy. You can 3D throw!
But Tempest wasnt THAT bad, that is true... I think that what ruined it was that there werent voices and the playtime ugh, 10 hours of play?

I like the T & T battle system.  I like the fact that SP gives a sense of realism to it (energy wise)

Voted for ToDr myself. Nicely balanced for the most part, and the CC system allows for a lot of freedom for comboing.

TotA's battle system is thoroughly "meh" - weak AI, free run being far too unbalanced, and your attack repertoire not having enough variety (too much slashing around with the most basic attack) all drag it down a bit.

Haven't played ToR yet, it seems to be nice. Stealing ideas from Guardian Heroes is always nice, I guess.

Haven't played ToI either, but it seems pretty underwhelming.

ToD2 isn't bad, actually, just... not that polished. There's lots of unnecessary complexity added to the game - do you really want to manage half a million enchants and item slots? Less is more in some cases. There's some flaws inside battles, too, like magic being way overpowered and the "area of control" thing ("you just jumped behind an enemy? SP/TP halved, sucker!") which can only be described as complete bollocks. It also bothers me that due to this, all your fighters are going to be stacked over each other, which makes following what's going on a bit hard sometimes.

yeah, i don't get that. why isn't the enemy's SP/TP halved if THEY go behind YOUR guy, then?
