Not so sure about that, but I'm going to tell myself it's true
That, and I think most higher-ish end HDTVs will do enough post-processing so that the game looks smoothed out, or at least appears that way in motion.
So we finally have all the characters (I think?)
What does everyone think of this Fujishima/Inomata mix?
I'm pretty eager to see how character interaction/development (if any) plays out.

Depends on which screens he means. If he's talking about ones like the first yeah that's jpg compression artifacts. Needing AA is usually shown by a stair step pattern in stills or shimmering in motion. Anything that looks like shimmer just of the edges in screenshots or any form of blocking is jpg compression artifacts.

They forgot to turn on the AA (anti-aliasing) when they were taking those screens

I dunno why but this game just doesn't look very good :/ I can't put my finger on it but something in the video just looks off, and I'm not talking about the throwback costumes.

Gosh, I wish we would get that limited edition console. It looks gorgeous.
Anyway, I think the gameplay videos are evidence that the aliasing isn't going to be all that much of an issue; things looked pretty darn smooth in motion. I'm relieved to put that fear to rest.
This behind-the-character view thing seems kind of silly though. I'm not sure how we're going to be 'immersed in the game world' (or whatever rationale of that variety they provided) with this style of graphics, regardless of point of view..

I like the concept of the shop building system. It's a streamlind approach to getting better equipment while also not being limited to getting equipment a at town c etc. I'd think players could take advantage of the fact of not just trying to get the best items but driving down the price of items you currently want/need. They would have to balance your gain of currency though or else the system would be broken simply by the fact that you would have too much money to spend.
I want this on the xbox damn it cause I don't want to by a ps3 for a game that clearly has no technical excuse for being an exclusive. Hopefully it's a timed exclusive at best or an xbox version would be in the works for western release. Although my xbox is having troulbles reading discs so I may have to replace it but repairing it is the much cheaper option.

This really excites me, in depth appearance customization is great, although perhaps it would only work in games as long as Tales where the characters are pretty unmistakable..
What I'm trying to figure out is whether this means that the accessories we're equipping for stats/bonuses (like the Warrior's Symbol of Faerie Ring) are physically adjustable, or if something else is meant by 'accessory.'
