Hahaha I gave up on readnig all that so I'ma just say my final statement here: I need a new RPG thats Original in the story sense. Eternal Sonata was a very original Story and game. Thats why it's a great game. Chopin is a pretty good change for a main character.
Just so you know, RPGFan didn't think Eternal Sonata was all that great. So don't act all high and mighty about it (Make sure to read it too so you get my previous point).
That's the last thing I want to say regarding this matter.

Lists a "Tales of Vesp
a
ria" for Xbox 360. This is Sakuraba's official English site, so I guess it's credible enough. Now all that needs to happen is for Namco to officially spill the beans to the public.
Kinda looks like they fixed it... It's now just "Tales of Vesperia" with correct spelling this time (Lol) and no XBox360 listed. Could that have just been an accidental leak of info? Or just a mere typo? =/

Im pretty sure it will, Namco love MS this gen, makes me wonder how Sony manage to keep Tekken 6 exclusive yet loose Ace Combat 6 and Katamari etc

Free run is not broken!
Itself it isnt, the thing is that no spell homes at you, or attacks you fast enough, so 99.999999999999999999999% of the attacks are avoidable just going up one milimeter, it is broken the way that you can fool the Ai with it, oh BTW HAPPY NEW YEAR.... KUREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

No, but the rest of ToA's battle system is, in order to encourage the use of Free Run.

Well, I guess you've proven your point of "If it looks new people dont really try it out." :p

like skits, for example. or interesting battle system additions like SP, RG, CC, or whatever. instead, team symphonia adds... free run.
Even Team Destiny doesn't reuse their stuff, why expect someone else to do so? :p And no one likes SP. Criticizing other games for not having SP is like complaining that they got rid of semi-auto's run-back-after-attacking thing and stopped putting the manual mode option 10+ hours into the game. Can't say I liked anything about RG either. CC was awesome though. I bet the next Team Destiny game doesn't use it though. Similarly, no other Tales will use Tempest's melee skill system or ND1's "tatakau" menu command.
And skits? Did you mean to say something else? Skills? Team Destiny's games have horrible skits! Especially Tales of Rebirth. ToD2 was okay.

Just out of curiosity, what's so horrible about ToR's skits? I loved every single one of them. ._.
And what about forgetting the teamlol X teamlmao discussion and getting back on topic, people? That's the kind of discussion that never leads anywhere, so let's just leave both teams' ideas and use of them alone and start talking about Vesperia again, if possible.

The opinions of people on a website, and my opinions of a game are different things. Their word is not law, and it's especially not final. The game is great, IMO, End of story. Good Day sir's and madam's.

the style of the skits, or the content? i meant the style... i don't like the talking heads thing much, and it's that much worse without voice/manual text advance.
as for SP/RG/CC, admittedly, i haven't played much of any of them, but they sure look like cool ideas.

If we're talking about unoriginality, then we need to drag Pokémon into this discussion too. Come on...you're still playing as some rookie trainer, going on a Pokémon journey, catching Pokémon, getting badge, become champion. So many versions and three additional generation later, it's still the same game you've been playing since 1998 (or 1996 if that's the case)! Yet, it still sells so much and the players don't seem to care it's the same game they've played before. The original games were the only original games in the Pokémon series (main series at least. Then again, most of the spin offs aren't worth mentioning). Also, my friend was willing to buy each Pokémon game close to or on release date because he knows they don't mess with it. Oh yeah, Pokémon isn't the first game to do "monster taming" since Dragon Quest did it too (Just to say it, I won't talk Dragon Quest here because that's just beating a dead horse).
Well the battle system has gotten deeper (much, MUCH, deeper), but yeah, the main game does get a bit stale since it's always about the same. The Battle Frontier in Emerald was a nice push in the right direction, though as a hardcore Pokemon fan, I wish they'd do more with the main game and sidequests. The Battle System is pretty much fine as it is imo.
