Before Namco catches wind of this, unless they're playing a joke. In the source of the Vesperia page...
Tales of Vesperia is an Xbox 360 game.
I expect a PS3 port to come along, though
EDIT: Caught it just in time! They corrected the Innocence mistake and removed the Xbox 360 reference.

Good catch there, Cless. I hope that ends up being the truth though, the odds of me buying a 360 are much higher than the odds of me buying a PS3.

Nice catch there. If that is the case, then I'm really hoping I get an Xbox 360 sometime soon.
Also watched the trailer and I'm actually pumped for this title from the start and wanting to see more. Been a while since I got that feeling.

What the hell is namco doing, their best games were on the Playstation-System and now their bringing a new game to 360? this doesnt make any sense to me. They are going like square in wrong direction.

Stupid Namco :/
I mean, RPG's for X360 who sells nothing in Japan? It's Tales we're talking about, it's only popular in Japan; and definining it in the trailer as "the next tales" is just the absolute confirmation that I'm getting the short end of the stick on the Wii (recycled spin-off sequel, not next tales) despite my console leading and the fact that X360 sales in Japan suck and past RPG's even in US didn't sold that hot.
Impressive how logic about reasons not to, only apply to Nintendo consoles, if a half assed game on the Wii sells bad, it's because the console is casual and third part's supposedly can't sell on it; if it's on the X360 "who cares, let's try again" or something. Incredible; and unfair.
Hell, A PS3 game through moneyhatting would make more sense.

No kidding....hopefully they won't rush this one, Abyss with its bugs and non-optimized loading and unused stuff, Symphonia with more stuff they didn't finish.....
And since it's Team Symphonia, at least we're going to get a decent length.

is it really surprising this will be a 360 timed exclusive? look at the love Namco has been giving 360 this gen most being exclusives or timed.
- Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation
- Beautiful Katamari
- Culdcept Saga
- Eternal Sonata (Official Confirmed Coming to PS3 soon)
- Idol Master
- Love Football
- Mobile Ops: The One Year War
- Super Robot Wars XO
- Zegapain XOR
- Zegapain NOT
they're so used to the hardware it makes sense for them to continue making games for the system.

Are we... finally... getting a Tales game with a female as the main character!? Or are we being fed another androgynous trap?
Hype+++++ if this game actually has a female lead.
I think it's safe to assume that character is female, though she may be the second-to-main character and we missed another pic.
But I hope this is indeed for 360 (or almost anything but the PS3), or it'll be just like the
last
time a Tales game had a female main: I won't play it because I don't have the system it's on.
Anyhoo, I don't think the screens in your post look PSP-sized. The one on Tales Channel does though.

They are? I hope Team Symphonia are more used to the X360 hardware than the PS2, in any case.
The game's graphics look nice, though the textures still seem a bit bland. Hopefully it'll be more polished than TotA was.
Also, do I hear me some Yagami Light in that trailer?
The X360 is a bit unexpected, but consider that MistWalker's going there, too, it's maybe less odd.

Hm, well she uses Pikohan and Nurse in the trailer, and the guy's the one on the title screen, so I'm thinking she's the second-to-main character....
Having a female character as the main and being a healer instead of a swordsman/fighter would be a nice change...but eh, I somewhat doubt Namco will go that route...let's hope they surprise me.

They really improved upon capturing the anime look while still having 3D graphics. It looks amazing, although I don't really like the character design. Maybe it'll grow on me, maybe not.
I guess since it's still very early, there aren't too many details on the battle system. So far it looks like Abyss and nothing really special stood out, unless someone would like to point out something they saw. Hopefully they have something big in store that takes advantage of the next-gen processing power.
It looks very promising but it somehow doesn't feel like a Tales to me, I can't really put my finger on why I feel that way. But it's still the first trailer so I can't say these things with such certainty. Otherwise, it looks very promising. Too bad I don't have any of the systems it could possibly be on, nor do I have the money to get them, nor do I have the time to play anything anymore because of school. I'm starting to steadily accept that I'm not going to have time for things I like so I'll be less disappointed each new game that comes out.

From a market stand... it's downright dumb; most of those flopped in Japan anyway, and if Microsoft wasn't moneyhatting them they'd probably not be exclusives.
If, they'd do a PS3 tales? sure they could make it multiplatform, but X360 exclusive? that's dumb, and stupid considering Japanese sales. Tales sells and has impact in japan, not in US, therefore this is only good for Microsoft; and that fact in the past has resulted in stuff like no more GCN tales games, because the core market was at PS2; and that's fine; it's not fine is when it gets ignored and manages to do no sense though.
Even a Tales for PS3... it's a disrespect when they're doing a inferior deal to the console that is leading, the Wii. PS3 has bigger development costs and sells less over there, and still they'll invest more and do a main installment on it when they negligect the other? Seems like by buying ToS:KoR I'm funding the darn game; a game that I'm not getting, and a game that might be used to say comparing sales of a spin-off recycled sequel on Wii against a main installment on another console who's selling less, the another console sold more, therefore Wii sells no third party games" hell I'm getting the less effort in the first place and for no good reason.
Really, the lack of coherency on this never ceases to amaze me.

Mistwalker games were financed by Microsoft in the first place, if Mistwalker was paying to develop those games they'd be out of their minds developing for X360 exclusively.

This game is looking sweet. I am only really digging a few of the character designs, but the main character's dog with the pip is awesome. It looks like he might actually be a playable character as well since he was in one of the battle scenes.

Wow...
I see why now it's called Vesperia ^__^ With "vesper" meaning the evening star, Vesperia's logo seems to fit very nicely. Damn I can't wait! This game had seriously better come over shores >__>
