hmm interesting i dont think it will be coming out on wii mainly because there already working on the TOS 2 so really not sure about that ps3 well seems a bit ova priced but theres a gud chance of it appearing there also 360 has a good chance there havent been many rpgs on the 360 and namco may exploit this but releasing it on that system also it seems like it has a good change of a pal release aswell psp highly likely aswell seeing psp hasent really had its own individual release (mostly ports)except for totw but thats kind of a spin off but yea hopin for a 360 release

I've watched this trailer many times over. It just looks fantastic running fullscreen on my HDTV. They've practically nailed Fujishima's designs, and the whole thing nearly looks like a kind of interactive anime. A huge step up from ToS and ToA. On top of that, it just looks so incredibly nice and clean.
That said, I can't say I see anything to dislike about the character designs. My favorite is probably the main female.
I seem to notice that the scope of the battletfield is larger than previous games? That could be fun. Can't wait for this game, it's practically climbed to the top of my most wanted list with this trailer.

For me, it's not really that I dislike them that much, more that I don't like them as much as previous characters. Especially after Radiant Mythology, the characters feel sort of mix-and-match to me. I like the main female character as well, but everyone else doesn't seem terribly interesting. What looks like the main character has long hair which I guess is somewhat interesting... The blond guy reminds me too much of Ky Kiske. The other people sort of feel like generic fair to me. Just consider this first impressions though.

Thought he looked familiar. XD
Now it makes me want to see a fanmade Tales vs Guilty Gear game. >_>

I guess since it's still very early, there aren't too many details on the battle system. So far it looks like Abyss and nothing really special stood out, unless someone would like to point out something they saw. Hopefully they have something big in store that takes advantage of the next-gen processing power.
I noticed that they don't seem like they're on lines, and that main dude has Souryurengazan + Kogahazan...
And I notice a bunch of circular glyphs everywhere.....I thought it was just the magic graphic, but the main dude has one over him before he does what looks like Overlimits....so maybe it has some significance?

Holy shit, this looks nice. Just what I've been waiting for. This will probably be the game that finally decides for me what console to buy.
Really like the look of this game. I think they got the general design just right, and battle looks fun. I'm really interested in what that "flashy" attack thing that the main character used was. Didn't seem like a hiougi. Could this be something like... a FoF? Wee ^__^

I haven't watched the trailer yet, but I'm really hoping this time Team Symphonia changes the battle system. I mean, I like the Flex Range LMB, but three consecutive games with the same system and just some changes here and there would be kinda "blorl".
And I'm also curious to know what the story is about. Though what I like Tales so much for are the characters and the way they interact with each other, not the story itself, I still hope to see a Tales game with an AMAZING story full of jaw-dropping plot twists and an ending that you wouldn't stop thinking about for weeks... someday.

I hope the battle system is the same as Abyss, with some evolution here and there. No need to mess with perfection.

HD cel-shading is amazing.
I hope this is for Xbox 360, but I'm prepared to play it either way now. All I can hope for is that they tone down the length of the main quest, I love me some Tales games but when they hit 60 and 80 hours without side-quests, it's very tiring.

Just saw the trailer...
I don't know what to say about the graphics... they just look COOL. Better than anything cel shaded I have ever seen. (no, I hadn't seen any HD game with cel shaded graphics till now. But that doesn't change the fact that ToV is amazing.)
As for the characters... Luke with long black hair. Oh well, no big surprise there. But I liked the pink-haired girl, if she were the main character I'd instantly fall in love with the game regardless of everything else. ♥ And the other ones seem at least... interesting.
Can't comment on the battle system yet, since it's just a trailer... but at least the spell effects look pretty cool.
And for some reason that town from the first 30 seconds reminded me of Petnadjanka.
So far, the game looks pretty promising... might be a good reason for me to buy a X360 in the future.

This is my dream come true. HD cel-shaded Tales. WOOO! I wonder when it'll come out here. It's 2008 for Japan.... and so is KoR. My guess is ToV will come out during holiday season 2008, since KoR was confirmed for spring 08. I hope we get both games before mid-late 2009.

Peep out Eternal Sonata, it's also HD cel-shaded but with better character designs.

Cel-shading? Awesome. Took 'em long enough to get back to it! Xbox 360? Didn't particularly care what it turned out on, because it'd settle my decision on whether to get a 360 or PS3. Odd that they'd choose that system given its position in Japan. Still, I'll wait for an official system confirmation and a US release before I buy any new hardware.
I still can't get over how pretty this game is.

This isn't coming out on 360, people. It's actually against the law in Japan to make a sequel to a popular RPG series on the 360.

I changed my mind. I don't want this coming out for the 360. If it comes out for the PS3, I can finally justify buying one (yay for MGS4). Plus, since the PS3 is region free, it means I can just buy one system for both the Japanese version and the (potential) US version. If it comes out for the 360, it means that I'll have to buy a Japanese 360 and an American one. This would not make me happy. So go PS3! (I never thought I'd say that...)
