Richter being Kratos with glasses is KoR's major plot twist.

It's a pretty frequent occurrence for Aselia timeline characters to be accused of secretly being other Aselia timeline characters. So I have analyzed the data available thus far and attempted to rank the likelihood of these accusations being true. Here is my personal opinion, from most likely to least likely:

Noishe is Norn (I never said this list wasn't biased!)
Ange is Random Welgaia NPC #12
Norn is Ratatosk
Norn is God (the one worshiped by Colette)
Noishe is Fenbeast
Emil is Dhaos*
Noishe is Heln
Emil is Mithos*
Noishe is Dhaos
The other half of Edward is a seirei
Marta is Martel (goddess, who exists after all!)
Mithos is Dhaos (through some time travel and CC age manipulation or something so that he was Dhaos before he was Mithos)*
Marta is Martel (conglomerate Seirei)
Aifread is Aifread
Richter is Kratos
Mithos is Dhaos (in the more intuitive chronological order)*
Emil is both Mithos and Dhaos

Yes, very peculiar. The continent in that screenshot still looks like Izoold/Triet/Olive Hopefully it's just a matter of towns changing spots during the merge process. (As opposed to a matter of the writers not doing their research.)

(I think Venezia continent vs Palmacosta continent is not even actually "scaled," just that it had some land trimmed off of it. If you compare the S-shaped mountain range to other geographical features, they look about the same size.)

Well, the sea level sure seems to have risen in the ToP timeline, not so much on the venezian continent, however...

Nintendo Power says the game has ToS's scenario writer, which eases most of my plot-related worries. (I think this is the first Tales continuation to use the same scenario writer as a previous game in the continuity?)

It also says Ratatosk was in ToS (briefly, from the sound of it). Somebody start theorizing, because I'm drawing a blank. Alongside Martel in the tree? (Source of green glow?)

Dex joined the Vanguard in pursuit of Alice, because he's in love with her or something. He uses a "woman-getting perfume" (cologne?). (The dialogue next to him is something like, "You're falling for my aroma too, aren't you?" so he's apparently really proud of that perfume.)

Alice is the leader of the Vanguard combat group. Contrary to her outward appearance, she has a dark personality. She treats Decks like a servant. (Quote says something about attacking a city.)

They seem like villains. (Also, Dex reminds me of Reecis. Ya know, from SamoRine. Wonder if it's a side effect of the same character designer.)

Okumura and Shiina, yes! I mean, c'mon, Okumura had Silk (aka TearSync) in Yumeria which probably inspired his Sync in ToA (funky visor 4tw) :p  hell, シルク -> シンク.  btw, who did the art for ToF vol.2? Hope s/he doesn't get used again.
