The girls sounds like a man and the boy sounds like a girl, GREAT!!! X3

Well, according to the wiki, Emil is supposed to be kinda effeminate (at least by Martha's standards), and Martha is supposed to be a tomboy, so I'd say that works well. Tongue

But hey, Johnny Yong Bosch. Yeah, hate Emil's normal voice, but love his battle voice.

Well, it's at least good.  It's not really that bad.  Then again, I'm not an all out dub hating dude!

Who the hell is Lloyd? It doesn't sound like either of his previous voice actors, though it might be Beacock doing a better job judging by the grunts and stuff. Absolutely horrible that Scott didn't come back, gonna significantly hamper my enjoyment of the game, but I can't say I was expecting him back.  Richter sounds awesome.

I pretty much expected this to happen anyway.  So, it's not like I was expecting someone like Scott Menville or Tara Strong to come back again.

"Effeminate" Emil is hilarous, if only because it's the exact same voice as Renton from Eureka Seven (there's one line that's right from the anime, and another that's the same if you switch Richter for Holland).  haha

And not suprised that "battle" Emil is Ichigo. Now, is that "form" of Emil as block-headed as Ichi? Tongue

Haha I knew I wasn't the only one who thought that  haha

Johnny Young Bosch and Beacock work together again too I see. Apparently Beacock VA'd Ulf from Grandia III while Bosch did Yuki's voice. Heh, Is NA short on VA's? And apparantly its not just these va's that get reused very frequently, either.

It's not so much that NA is short on VAs, and more like there's only a select few VAs that are used to this kind of role, especially in anime and videogames. Basically, there's only a few that "get it" sort of speak. And of course, most videogame publishers probably don't have that much of a budget to begin with, so it's not like getting high profile actors is always feasible. I'm still surprised Kingdom Hearts 2 got Christopher Lee (then again, it did have Disney to back them up).

Raine is one of my favorite characters from ToS. While I have to agree that her voice is alright and that it definitely could have been a lot worse, I think it's a shame that the original voice actress won't be returning. She sounded more..I dunno, scholarly?

Man, I was so pumped for this game until the English videos started hitting. I tried to avoid being negative about the localization, but these new videos just reaffirm my fears about this title.

I'm really starting to hate what they're doing with the localization. They refuse to go union to get the original actors back (or at least get new non-union actors to replace the Radiant Mythology actors everyone complained about), and they  break their trend of using instrumental openings and go back to orchestral stuff. Symphonia was such a well-received, popular game- it's so sad to see them going this route on the sequel.

Oh well, at least we got Vesperia.  Grin

This is the first time I've heard Lloyd with his new actor. Wow, that's just ugh... I'm not even sure if I'd like that if I hadn't heard Menville's impression.

...and even Palmacosta was pronounced differently than in ToS (I'm now beginning to worry about whether or not if they did their homework to stay consistent with it.)

But yes... Vesperia at least, is wonderful.

I'm not liking the new voice cast. Especially Lloyds new voice. If they're really not going with the old voice actors then I really do hope they include an original audio track (pfft only in my dreams). I still wish they kept cell shading as well. The new character models are a big improvement, but I can't say the same for lighting and shading. It just looks bland to me. Also I'm not liking the intro music. I actually loved the orchestral music for the first games opening. The opening music for this one feels kind of awkward along side the animation. I already had low expectations because it was a sequal, this is just adding to that fire. I really think I may not buy this game.

Edit: After further inspection the graphics aren't all that bad. There's a lot more detail but I still would like some more dynamic shading.
