Yup and the effect looks the same, why do most female main characters have a healing and attacking hi ougi (like life discharge, fortunes ark, this) Next thing is "happy flower" that kills every monster and heals you with flowers <3

Yes you are right that is her hi ougi, sadly i couldn't find the cut in.

Edit: actually the cut in is show here http://gonintendo.com/wp-...s/talesofsymphoniawii.JPG but is very small.  Grin

Maybe the cutIn appears along with the animation like ALL team symphonia gmaes till now :3 Sorry for those who thought that we would have fast cut ins as in ToDr

The official acronym for TOS:DNW's battle system:

FR:EE-LMBS

(Flex-Range: Elemental Enhanced Linear Motion Battle System)

I remember back when they only got one letter+LMBS!

The official website has a variety of new screenshots. Here's one that shows that the recycled-from-ToA text bubbles were actually just place holder (or our imaginations)


Hi-ougis really are starting to look a little too cutscene-y. Which would be fine if there were as rare as ToS's, but...

given ToA, more than likely you'll be able to spam hiougis about as often as arcane artes. also, that dragon looks suspiciously like ToA-recycled material.

the new textboxes look nice, though i'd still prefer subtitle-style text. also, slightly more realistic animations would be nice... i really dig FF12's "come to a stop if you were running" animation. also, more cutscene fights -- that was one thing i really liked about abyss, actually Tongue
