I agree that's yuck, but I doubt it's final. That's from the magazine article, right? NP wouldn't want any scaaary Japanese letters causing mental harm to its readership!

Cyllya predicts:
--Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World will reveal that Ratatosk was involved in ToS's last required scene in Heimdall.
--Tales of Vesperia's plot will involve space aliens in some way

I'll probably get this, but Vesperia will be priority.

Messenger Squirrel, ToSDoTNW's localization manager (Peter's doing Vesperia) discusses some issues:

1. Original TOS Voice Actors: we are trying, but I cannot promise anything.
2. Skits will be voiced (or that is the plan).
3. Font for TOS: it's a variation of a Japanese font called "風雲体" (we won't be using this one for DNW).
4. Sales date: we're aiming for fall...is all I can say.

That thing about the original voice actors makes me happy... even though it's pretty damn far from a conformation.

I wonder who the heck asked about the font used in ToS. I know that *I* was looking for it for the longest time...

I like that font. I might make a purchase sometime.

Take back what I said about the Abyss text boxes a few pages ago. This new style looks nice. Love the dynamic camera style on the compound Unison attacks. Wonder if it'll apply to the hi-ougis, if they're in (which I don't doubt).

The graphics seem to shift from "ugly as sin" to "hey, it's... decent!?" depending on angle.

I'm getting pretty unsure if the whether or not the child-strangler will be a party character or not.

Could this turn out to be the first spinoff in the series that I actually end up liking?

That's not a compliment it's just a statement of how low your expectations are.

Pokétales of Symphonia? I'm not that thrilled to be honest.

The more Tales games the merrier and all that, just when I'm only getting this one... meh, I wish it wasn't a spin-off and wish it had better graphics.

Still, I agree, it looks miles and bounds from the first screens, but those were just hideous.

Can't be worse than Tales of 5 Boring Dungeons and 300 Super Generic Fetch Quests.

Is that Tales of the Radiant Mythology? Or the Tales of the World GBA ones? ^^'

Still, I must say I'm not happy at seeing the same places all over again in a game and the lack of features like a overworld map. The game might not be bad, but it still screams "half assed" to me. Wish it wasn't.

Survey says...both!  I mean, both of them has what Cless described.  A few dungeons and a bunch of fetch quests (well, not so much Narikiri Dungeon 3 but you get the point).

Well, technically, Radiant Mythology is Tales of the World 5 (was announded as that at least), but since Cless was talking in singular I wondered.

That kind of spin-off would only be a bigger insult, but I have to say, this already kinda is; I/we deserved a better effort by them. Better than a spin-off thought from the ground to recycle stuff.

i gotta admit, the graphics look pretty nasty.
However if Zelos returns, i might have to buy Wii.
It was so funny whenever he learned eruption(
Booooom Baby, Eruption!!!)
or when he learned a healing move.("Damn, i must be a genius")  Smiley
Does anyone know if zelos is confirmed to return, or did they go with the kratos ending?

He's there. Well, I don't really blame you for not looking through the pile of pictures that were posted. Here's one of them with Zelos.
