I've been wondering for some time ... how come first pics are NEVER clear scans? xD
edit: By the way, I read somewhere that Shing is one centimeter shorter than Ruca ...
...
He does NOT look shoter than Ruca XD
But now that we see a full pic of him, he IS a bit on the short side. Still looks taller than Ruca, though. XD;;
edit: Someone found full scans. Someone named "Groo" made the scans, according to the one who posted it ...

I don't think I've ever seen scans of that quality before. They almost look as if they're the source images used for printing them...
I guess I've gone nuts. For some reason, I actually like how the CG looks. Yeah, it's really weird for a Tales game and all that (and also considering the in-game art direction), but I dunno. It's not the usual anime, but it somehow looks aesthetically pleasing to me.
Or maybe it's just because there's something about the main characters that really, really, REALLY reminds me of Yuri and Karin from Shadow Hearts Covenant's CG...

I would seriously import this
Looks great, the CG to 2d seems kinda wierd, but at least it looks good.

Any body else find that the female protagonists cg self looks extremely creepy.
It just feels like this cg decision came after they finished the character designs. Maybe they should have made the characters so they wouldn't translate to cg as the creepiest people you'd never want to meet.

i'm sure it'll look fine in-game, but yeah, what's with the uber short skirt? plus the weird pose. also, looks like her CG version lost the hair tie thing.
maybe they're trying to imitate FFXII's standard ashe CG, with the nose touching thing?

I still would have preferred the high quality animation featured in tales games. I'm still baffled why they drew them in the completely unrealistic anime style when they were going to use cg characters in some cut scenes. Usually with final fantasy games the drawn art resemble the cg in style and proportion.

Cause there will be anime scenes, you will be probably asked to select one in the beggining (either CG or anime) and then you probably will be able to toogle it from the menu.
They opted for CG cause they wanted to try something new, but dont worry, anime is still there

I missed that... I'll stop complaining about the cg now since I wont have to look at it.
