Radiant Mythology 3 site update: Kratos, Luca, Natalia, Reala.

Natalia's Mystic Arte is Astral Rain. Good times are had by all. I wonder if she'll have those artes you get from the quest with the blind old guy. That would certainly help!

I wonder if you can select your battle BGM to be any Tales song you want. I disliked how you only got Tales songs in the arena or when doing training quests and stuff. The original themes were a bit of an ear-sore for me.

Flynn and Guy in the same party, I see what you did there, Namco.
Looking at the list of playable characters, I think you can take it beyond just that...
Cless, Stahn, Flynn, and Guy all in the same party.
That's assuming that the game doesn't have any "You must have this character in the main party at all times" characters, of course; I haven't played any of the Radiant Mythology games so I don't know for sure.

You have to use your created main character at all times. Not that you have to control them, but they're always in the party. This might piss some people off, so they could likely just hack them out of the party with CWcheat or something, and replace them with someone they like. I wouldn't do that.

You could use Keele, Reid, and Senel, and then it'd be all...
KIRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
ATHRUUUUUUUUUUUN!!!!!
SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINN!!!!
And then the Descender's just kind of standing there going "...you lost me."

New batch of characters: Sheena, Veigue, Celsius, Woodrow.

Celsius is not voiced by Rena Mizushima. It's someone else (anyone wanna take a stab?). More mystic artes in action, thankfully. Veigue gets Celsius Calibur. I never got far enough in Rebirth to see if that's an actual arte or not. Also, Veigue is around six feet tall (183cm). You don't normally see people that tall in games, unless they're nonhuman, or that sort of "giant bruiser" type. I guess, because of so much stuff being made in Japan, they write what they know, and what they know is...short people? I dunno, man. You should still take that with a grain of salt, because people aren't usually drawn their actual height, if you look at the environment. And there're all sorts of things to consider, like perspective and animation studio. It's a complex issue...maybe?

I don't recall Veigue being the butt of any height related jokes :p

They finally added Shing to the site! Also, pleasant surprise: Tytree's in. GLEE. Well, I doubt they'll have Hilda, but it's still nice that Rebirth is five for six (technically six for seven if you count Claire).

I wonder if Stahn will still be missing half his moveset. He didn't even have Bakuenken in RM2.

guy and hisui were six foot as well. it's fairly common in tales games i think. just not common in the main hero, since the main hero is supposed to be a relatively everyman kind of guy. and i'm pretty sure not too many japanese are six foot.

Veigue's not even the tallest PC in his game, that's the crazy thing. Eugene's 193cm tall (same as Kunzite). I'm just overthinking this. Gotta just focus on the game coming out!

Well, they've added Pasca Kanonno, Shirley, and Emil to the site (for new faces; rest is just returners). Not surprised about Emil. I don't think they'd add Marta and then leave him out. His moveset looks a little better. I think Senel's got that same mystic arte from some other game he was in.

I'm not pleased at the addition of Shirley. She was, uh...kind of a yandere. With superpowers. That's never a good thing. God, I really hate that whole "person settles for dead SO's next-closest-in-age sibling" thing. It didn't believably-work for Lulu and Wakka (in fact, it's kind of SICK AND CREEPY), and it's not going to work with Shirley and Senel if the writers take it further. Or maybe she's just really pissy that Senel's in love with Chloe, and you do quests for her trying to win him over, and it doesn't work and she gives up. Yeah, and monkeys might fly out of my butt.

She was? I played until chapter 7 of ToL (where i gave up from boredom), i don't remember her seeming yandere-ish. did i miss something, or did i just never get to it?

You probably didn't get far enough. I vaguely recall something about Shirley being really jealous that Senel's still bummed out about Stella, and that he's also got kind of a crush on Chloe, and then those magical ship-people (Fenimore, you biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch) manipulate her feelings and try to turn her into the thing to conquer the land. She DOES mellow out in the postgame chapters, but the way the game goes it almost seems like they really did sort of set Senel and Shirley up. I just like SenelxChloe, because it seems they'd argue like an old married couple, but really do care about each other. They're just both so damn stubborn.

Preordered RM3 off Play-Asia. Had a $5 discount coupon (came with SRWL+BBCS that I got for Christmas), so that covered the shipping cost. Now...I wait. Shipping date's the day before my birthday, so I'm guessing it'll arrive sometime the next week (I preordered Super Robot Wars K, didn't even get the expensive shipping, and it arrived FAST; as in, six numerical days after the ship date, with a weekend in-between).

So, when that arrives, I'll again vanish for a few weeks. Yeah, I'll lurk, in case anyone wants me to PM them a review-ish thing.
