If I've been hearing right, the game is a mix of the sidequests of the GBA ans PSX versions.  I've no idea about the script though, and I probably wouldn't know anyway since I can't read kanji.

A few things.

1) Still no ToDr for me... I'm giving it until the end of the week for it to arrive.  If it doesn't, me and Play-Asia are going to have to have a talk...

2) I've got ToP PSP and ToE PSP (EU) now.  I'm looking forward to trying those out after Christmas when I get my PSP.  I'm most curious to see whether or not they had to crop the games to get them to fit the PSP screen.  I imagine they had to with the OP video, but with the game itself, they technically could have actually increased the viewable area to fit the screen.  Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

3) Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology is coming out pretty soon.  Anyone planning on picking this up?  I'm actually considering it, though I may wait for a bit, I have more than enough Tales to keep me busy for now.  But if I had more money to throw around, I'd certainly be looking at getting this.  The 3D models for the characters look great and with the game using some variety of TotA's FR-LMBS, it should be a pretty interesting game.  I know that there's also supposed to be a Dramatic DVD - Lemon Gumi included with it... Which brings me to my next topic...

4) Lastly, I've got a question about the pre-order bonuses for the past few Tales games.  I'm talking about the Apple Gumi (came w/ ToP: FVE), Orange Gumi (came w/ ToDr), and the Tales of Fandom: Gaiden (came w/ TotA).  Now, I know you can find these on YouTube, but I'd rather have something with a little higher quality.  Ideally what I'd be looking for is an ISO, but I'll gladly settle for anything that's better than YouTube quality (like an AVI or whatever format it might be).  Can anyone help me out with that?  I would be extremely grateful if anyone could either provide something or point me in the right direction.

Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Eternia PSP are opened up to use the full screen resolution.. though the graphics are the same, so you're just seeing more on the left and right (and some on the top and bottom). For movies, since they are (mostly?) in widescreen, I think they just fill up the screen as opposed to being letterboxed on 4x3 displays.

Yeah, I came across some screenshots last night that agree with what you were saying.  The screens themselves are certainly showing off more of the area.  Which is nice, I'm glad they did that.  I believe the movies are slightly larger than widescreen, maybe I'm wrong about this, but I think that a little bit of the footage is being cropped vertically.  The amount I'm talking about is barely noticeable though, hardly even worth mentioning.

Yeah, it's nice. Unlike with Princess Crown where they just used the original resolution of the game and gave a freaking border around all the sides on the PSP. The graphics in the game are so large that it would have BEAUTIFUL to simply open up the field with that added horizontal space. Not to mention some of the other cheapness of that port.. but, oh well.

By the way, Play Asia didn't even ship my Tales of Destiny until the 4th.. same with you?

I got an e-mail that said mine shipped out on the 30th, but I'm beginning to have my doubts about that...  Had it really shipped on the 30th, it seems like it should be here by now.  I just really hope it gets here before the end of the week.  If it takes longer then that, I'll have already left college and gone back home for winter break, which would mean no ToDr until January! Shocked

EDIT: And I'm starting to have major regret that I didn't pick up this...  I wasn't sure whether the Japanese PSP could have the language settings changed to English.  I should really have checked on that before...  Now I find out that the menu CAN be changed, but it's too late to get that.  $50 more then what MY PSP would cost me and it comes with a game that I intend to buy at some point anyway...

One thing to remember is the time of year. Mail usually moves slower than usual during the holidays.

When it comes to postal mail the carrier does not provide a guaranteed time frame. It's all estimates, except in the case of domestic express mail.

At one point in time, it took a week for a piece of mail to get across town. Across town.

I'm actually still waiting for my original copy of ToDr to arrive (as well as the limited ToDr memory card). I just use the internet to get things ahead of time... Wink

I've been looking around the web alot lately and my MALE intuition tells me that there is a really good chance that Tales of Destiny 2 psp will be released in the North America... But I may be wrong however, I'm probably not...

Nope. There are a few cameos scattered in the game itself.. but not an arena battle.

Haha, he's no longer even a cameo as he was in the original.

There IS a special arena battle, but it's not really a cameo battle.

It's against Lilith.. Stahn's sister.

Yeah, the Destiny team seems to like keeping any special battles within universes..
