Awww.....wait. If I got the word out for the game, it'd get a higher chance of release in the US!
don't count on it  Lips Sealed

I got this petition idea from Absolute Zero's post about the Tales of Hearts pic. What if I just make a truckload of buzz?
His Tales of Hearts pic didn't make Namco change their mind though.
Well excuse me for I am gonna make a rant about Namco-Bandai and post it on YouTube.
Good luck, insult them hard and raw in my stake.

Besides, all the trademarks for those have expired, which hint nothing is coming/planned.

Slight legal nitpick here. Trademarks don't expire; Rebirth's trademark in NA is currently listed as "abandoned." From the way that I understand it, the company has to pay fees and/or file paperwork to keep a trademark active from year to year. If they fail to do that, then the trademark becomes abandoned. A company can reactivate a trademark at any time, but it requires extra effort on their part (more effort than it would have had they just kept the trademark active, at least). But like you mentioned, the fact that Bamco has abandoned the trademark suggests a lack of interest on their part in terms of bringing it over here.

Thanks for the explanation, that's kind of a grey area of knowledge for me so I only "somewhat" apprehended what I heard in the way I understood it (or to the extent I understood it) so thanks for clearing it up.

You should thank my brother, the law student. He's the one who explained this stuff to me.  Wink

Oh okay, I thought that might be you, but I wasn't sure. And sorry that I haven't responded to your message. I invited a holy terror of a pound puppy into my household several weeks ago (well, he's actually not that bad, but I can't take my eyes off him for a second), so it's been near impossible to get anything done lately. Especially since he managed to spill a cup of water on my computer recently. >_<

Anyway, about your question earlier (I think the PSP related one has been addressed already), I was actually planning to write a letter to Bamco (it'd probably have to be to the Japanese branch though since Bamco USA seems to have no say in which games come over here), explain to them what I've been doing for the past 1.5 years, and ask them to reconsider localizing Rebirth. I doubt it would change anything (especially since my Japanese composition skills are extra sucky), but sending them a translated game script is at least different from the usual online or paper petition.
