There's also some very strong rumors that Square-Enix is using their Dragon Quest spin-off for Wii to test the waters of keeping the FF series to Sony and the DQ series to Nintendo. Ultimately I think they'll just choose whichever is the top-selling console, but I thought it was a cool concept. Once I have my portable Final Fantasy I-VI I could care less what happens with that series, but Dragon Quest is still greatness and I know my will-power would be too weak to resist buying the damn PS3 for Dragon Quest IX.
I've been hearing the exact same things in various places around the internet.
Im not that surprised really because the wii is actually getting quite alot of attention recently and lots of developers are trying to get there foot in the door to what most believe to be the future of gaming! And its not exacly unheard of with Symphonia being orignally for the GC. That and the Wii is a better console than the PS3! LOL
I see what you mean. I just thought that Namco wouldn't test the Nintendo home consoles for anything Tales related for a long time, or at least until Nintendo beat out Sony.
Personally, I think I'm going to be satisfied with playing Wii for a long time, at least until I have enough money to get a PS3, as well. Won't buy PS3 until there's some good RPGs for it, though. That's what I liked about PS2... RPGs.
A bit off topic, but hopefully I can convince my folks to take me to the Fusion Tour in Cleveland on Saturday to play the Wii. Wish I could have gone to the one in Columbus tommorow, but that's a school night. At least I get Baten Kaitos Origins this weekend.
