Peter Garza's not at Namco anymore. He's at Tecmo now.

That sucks. Peter was always so in touch and responsive to the fanbase. Here's hoping they find a good localization producer to replace him.

This could be a fair-sized blow to the quality of future Tales localizations. I'm a bit concerned. The ones he was involved with were the best the series has seen. He's noted in previous interviews that he's had previous experience in theatre and I believe that was an excellent asset that shone through in his work. As far as other things, it was he who cemented standards in things like arte names (up through Symphonia they were always localized inconsistently). I hope whomever replaced him has full intentions of keeping with these.

On the other hand, he wasn't officially on the DotNW team, and I thought its localization wasn't bad at all (non-returning actors aside). But it's entirely possible and quite likely he had loads of input on it.

I like RPGs and platformers.

If I read your posts, Peter Garza makes sure than no one screws up the translations during the localization progress?

From what he's said in the past, he was responsible for a lot more than just overseeing the projects he worked on. He worked on a lot of things directly. Kind of like me in regards to the ToP project, I guess.

A lot more? I wonder if he had a hand in pitching Tales games for localisation (and how it would be done to make it appealing enough for good sales), then... It makes me worry that we won't see any more Tales games in English now, unless the person who took his place is just as good as he was. It doesn't bode well for Graces.

imho, I thought the standards/consistency were ok, not to short change him or anything. I still consider stuff like Final Embrace to be short-sighted standards renaming; it made sense for ToL but ToL's incantation was sort of an oddball.
