I know I haven't posted here in near ages, but I just saw this and shed a tear...

take a look at this link, there they explain what really happened; I guess it's not something to make a fuss (they didn't extinguished the studio, they've just absorbed it)

If we're lucky, this might be a good thing.  It was a private studio and didn't have the funding of the main studio probably.  Now if this also effects the US company, it'll be a very good thing for us.

Right, they were wholly owned by other companies anyway. Foremost it's a legal change which will simplify accounting for NBGI, if it is combined with actual staff changes is yet to be seen but I don't expect the name Namco Tales Studio to disappear.
