Tales of Harmonia.

...with Inomata designs. I don't know if the pic is related or not. If it is, I bet this 30-something-looking guy will be 17 or 18 in his profile.

Supposedly in the next Jump issue, we'll find out if it's fake or not in a week or so.

If true.... god namco, you're REALLY stretching this series thin this generation. It's so hard getting excited for new entries anymore. I instead wanted to slam my head into my desk at the crack of this rumor instead of getting excited.

While I love me some Inomata designs, I agree with you all the way. These types of games need to be spread out a couple of years apart, not six months. Wouldn't this make the SEVENTH Tales game on PS2?

I blame the formation of Tales Studio. I've begun to wish it never happened, despite still liking what they usually put out.

The last time I could say I got genuinely excited about a new Tales game was when they opened the floodgates with ToD2, ToS, and ND2 at the same time.

I don't see the problem. I'm glad its for ps2 and not that overpriced ps3. What's so wrong with playing it next year for $75 rather than $900 after everything?

Yeah, it's getting a bit ridiculous... ToP-FVE, ToD2-PSP, ToW:RM, ToD-PS2, ToT (although it's for DS so that's excellent) and now this... At least the PSP, while getting quite a bit of support, is getting mostly insignificant games... ToD-PS2 and ToT are the big titles, but people are still sort of reeling from ToL & TotA being released so close to each other...

I can't say it would bother me having another Tales game.  I never really look into hype for games and that sort of thing, so there's really no reason that I would tire of them.  I mean, if they're good games, I will play and enjoy them.  If they aren't, I'll just pass on them.  That's true of everything, not just Tales.  I don't know if I would consider Tales being stretched too thin or not.  But, I won't speculate too much into it until there's some official news.

Nice! Where'd you find that?  That charactter reminds me a bit of Veigue (must be the white hair). Hope they make it like ToA's battles. More 3D Tales for Inomata characters!

...what...?

I actually don't mind getting excited over games. Especially if its from an artist I admire*Mutsumi*. But it does get a little annoying if they delay/cancel or isn't released in America.  I'll most likely be looking forward to this game when more information is released. *Call me crazy X_x;;;*

Tales Studio got the "one new game + one port per year" thing rolling with the start of this generation. Now at the end of this generation after the Bandai Namco merger and near full (94%) ownership of Tales Studio it makes a lot of sense business wise to push out even more considering the Tales games are Namco's best selling console game series series this generation only rivalled by the Taikou no Tatsjuin. Considering the quality level of Tales games is quit consistently stable if not improving starting with Eternia oversaturation ought to be the only issue at hand, and above link shows sales so far don't reflect this.

(And didn't we get used to yet another "main Tales" being announced just before the next is being released? That is until delay-heavy Tempest broke with that tradition?)

I'm with Cless on this one. There are way too many Tales coming out at the same time. I got overload with the ToS, ToD2, and ToR coming out at about the same time and I'm FINALLY catching up to ToD2....

And now Abyss is out?!?

For me it's definitely over saturation, the games have remained decent. But it does seems that the series is taking Madden-style baby-steps in its improvements nowadays. I really think that if they spent another year on a single title then it'd be special again and not simply "Yet another Tales game."

I used to roll my eyes at people complaining about too many Tales coming out, but I'm starting to feel the same way. At the same time, I'm glad they're making them for PS2 instead of a next-gen system.

Anyway, most of the time when Namco copyrighted like 3+ names at a time, it seemed like those were all candidates for the name of one game. So I'd be surprised if they're using the name Tales of Harmonia now.

I wonder how long it'll be until they just start releasing them under the year name, Tales '07, Tales '08, etc.

But then, that would foolishly assume they'd only release one a year.

I actually found out on GameFAQs that the pic is actually from somewhere else.

That out of the way, I just want to say that Namco needs to slow the heck down.  There are already too many Tales games and this is going to end up too much if it becomes true.  I don't know.  I also have to say it's getting hard to be excited about a new Tales game at the rate they're going at.
