The writing looks just like Tales of Legendia's Relares! The top corners have a map of Africa and there are other bits of other continents. There is faint Wingding writing at the top left which seem to spell out "Aemo_s" (can't read the 5 character), or something similar.

There is a link to the countdown page on the Tales channel: http://www.bandainamcogames.co.jp/cs/list/taleschannel/

There used to be a DS logo next to the title, but they took it off. Either they made a mistake and want to keep in a secret, or it's actually not for the DS.

I wonder if it's related to Tales of Legendia at all, because that would be awesome.

Hmm so K is the next letter; kinda wish they would remake Tales of Eternia ^_^ but I know it'll never happen.

It's a Srg. Keroro game. Move along, folks. Nothing left to see.

Yep, it's a Keroro Gunsou RPG (aka. Sgt. Frog). Namco's just trolling us with that ad on Tales Channel.

The hard-to-see writing was identified as something that turned up on some Keroro Gunsou cards:

If you need anymore proof it's a Sgt. Keroro game, here's the scan:

That link was there because the game is an RPG done by Namco Tales Studio and using the series' Linear Motion Battle system.

I guess that means end of discussion.  I mean, I never really watched or read Sgt. Keroro, so I'm not really going to say anything and move on.

A Tales engine being used for a non-Tales game? Is that a first?

If this is some sort of attempt to combat brand fatigue, well...I think they're doing it wrong.

I'm actually undecided if I should move this to the general forum. haha

In regards to comment in spoiler...I was actually thinking of asking you that myself.  Heck, I know on the Tales fan site Abyssal Chronicles, it's up in the air if they're going to bother covering it.

Well, I certainly can say I didn't have this in mind for combating brand fatigue either.  Well, the trailer for the game has the Linear Motion Battle system logo (First time I saw it was on the back of my copy of Tales of VS).  If that say anything, somehow, they're branching the battle system brand off.  What's next, the battle system becomes something they license off like it's the latest Unreal Engine? haha

Based on the amount of episodes I had to endure per day on Spanish TV while living in Spain, I guess this one will sell more than any other Tales game, ever*, and that in Spain alone.

*okay, so if we limit it to European Tales sales; I'd dare to say it's not even a joke.

May well be Tales Studio's 2D graphic artists next game (full 2D unlike Heart's 3D backgrounds with 2D sprites). I guess NBGI doesn't even want to try pursuing the Tales brand itself on the DS anymore. That's not surprising, but this conclusion certainly is an interesting one (the battle sections in the trailer look great).

On that trailer, is it just me, or is that snow-place on the bottom right on 0:29 look like the snow places in Phantasia and Heidleburg in Destiny?

..and that blue frog spitting stuff on 0:37 looks like Suzu's Jiraiya~

....and hi-ougi on 0:41.

just gotta say it...kawaii game and references. ^_^

I still await for a Tales game that uses the Namco Valkyrie and Druaga; so my wish might come true if they making this Keroro Gunsou game ^_^.
