Prelude to tales of destiny what do you think?

"Isn't this amazing Chal? All this technology and barely anyone knows its here" said Leon amazed.
"I suppose young master but when you have seen the technology and the other wonders of the ancient world that I have, this actually seems quite trivial."
"Oh right, you have seen all this before." Leon stood there quietly contemplating for a moment before he said "Chal can I ask you something?"
"Of course, you can ask me anything! What would make you think you couldn’t?"
"I don’t know, I think I’m just nervous about this situation. Do you think I should really destroy this place? Suddenly I don’t think it’s the right thing to do?"
"Why not?" asked Chaltier.
"Many reasons, first this place can't be replaced, once it’s gone it’s gone for good. Second I am tired of being Hugo’s errand boy and finally if I destroy this place then I don't think I could defeat Hugo If I decide to fight him. This place could be a very valuable asset."
"Why would you want to defeat Hugo?"
"What do you mean Chal? Do you actually agree with Hugo?
"I don't agree with a lot of things but as I am very limited in what I can do so I have long ago learned to be content to watch and advise instead of playing the game. That kind of thing is for humans. Let me ask you this, have you thought about what he will do to Marion if he finds out?"
"Yes I do, but the only way he would find out is if you or I told him, right? And there is always the possibility I could get Marion to safety"
"Does that mean you still plan to give him Dymlos?"
"I have to, but that does not mean I have to burn bridges when I might need them later. If he pulls this off can you imagine what the world will become, it seems bad now but what happens when he no longer has anyone to stand in his way. I can only imagine the tragedy and heartache he will cause." Leon leaned against the wall feeling the weight of the choice in front of him. “I just don’t know what to do, I think I know the right thing to do but if I don’t do what he wants I risk losing everything that I love.”
“Right and wrong are never simple. Sometimes in order to do the right thing you must do things you don’t agree with and will regret and question for the rest of your life. One thing I know for sure is that it will take a lot more than this place to stop what Hugo has planned. Have you thought about your sister lately?"
“Why?”
“No reason really except she has a swordian and could be a valuable asset in stopping Hugo.”
"Do you really think it’s possible to stop him? Should I go along with his plan or seek to find a way out of his grip?"
"I can't tell what to do, but I will say that you have to make up your own mind and live with whatever you decide. Happiness is the most important thing to living life and the way to happiness has nothing to do with anything other than what’s inside you, If you can't find it within your self then you won't find it anywhere. If you follow Hugo could you live with it? Would you be happy with the life he has chosen for you?"
"I don’t know but I think you just helped me make up my mind. Rutee huh? It has been two years since I last saw her. Hugo had me pull some strings to get her out of some trouble. She almost killed four guards while they were try to take her into custody”
“Sounds like you, god forbid someone try to force you to do something you don’t want to.” Leon lost the smile he had found while thinking of his sister because Chaltier had unintentionally reminded him of what Hugo was doing.
“Let’s go Chal, we have to make that meeting with Lydon.”
------------------------------------------
Philia smiled as she looked in the mirror brushing her hair. Batista was so charming and he was dashing and brave. She couldn’t wait for dinner with him. She couldn’t help but wonder what he will make she thought to herself. Maybe he will make a roast or maybe some exotic dish, he might even have some wine! Of course as a priestess she would never drink under ordinary circumstances but with Batista she couldn't help but think she would get drunk and join in a union of their bodies and mind. She glanced at herself one final time in the mirror before departing to the sanctuary to await his arrival.
------------------------------------------
"Come on Walt, your wasting my valuable time. If it’s not at least 5000 we are outta here!"
"What! All you have to do is take it from an unguarded temple and you don’t even have to steal it. Easiest money you have ever made!"
"5000 Walt, that’s the deal, take it or leave it."
"How bout I see what the Black Wings will do it for, how does that sound Rutee?"
"Sounds like a plan. You know they are a joke right. Mary took all three of them on and had them offering the cloths off her back if she would stop! I don’t think they understood that she was doing it to show people how pathetic they were," Rutee said with a smirk.
"That’s why I want you Rutee, you are the best but your price is just too high. I'll get someone else to do it goodbye Rutee." And with that Walt picked up his book and started reading.
"Well if that’s the way you want to play it Walt I will see you later. Come on Mary." The young women made their way outside the house and once they were out of earshot Mary asked "So what now?"
"We are going to Janos to get that cane." Rutee remarked with a mischievous grin on her face.
"Umm did I miss something back there I thought we decided that it wasn't enough money."
"We did but if he wants that cane and if we have it then he has to pay what we want or he won't get it."
"I dunno Rutee, what if he won't pay us then we have wasted our time and we are almost broke!"
"Mary do you trust me?"
"Yyyeeeesss."
"You worry to much, lets go."
------------------------------------------
Stahn breathed in the cool night air. He could barely contain his excitement, because in just 3 hours he would be on his way to Seinegald to begin the greatest adventure of his life. No more herding sheep for him from here on out it was action adventure and women. Stahn was so caught up in his excitement that he didn’t notice his grandfather sitting on the porch.
"Where are you off to so late Stahn?" His grandfather asked. Stahn jumped startled.
"No where,” he said a little too quickly.
"You sure do have a big pack to be headed no where," remarked Thomas.
"What this? This is a, this is a....."
"Stahn I know what that is. I left home to around your age too. Don’t you think I understand how you feel?” He paused and took a breath before he said “I only have one question for you."
"What’s that grandpa?"
"Have you been practicing your sword technique?"
"Of course, that’s all I have done pretty much the last two months."
"I know, that’s actually how I knew you were about to leave. I just wanted to give you some last minute advice before you left. You have heard me talk about the void but I'm sure you don't know understand what it means. I can't really explain it to you except to say that when you are in battle and your life is on the line, you have to clear your head and let your training take over. Don't stop and think, because if you do it could be your last thought. Also on your journey you have to be careful who you trust. Some people will use you and abuse you while others will guard your back and die for you if necessary. All I can tell you about how to tell the difference is to trust your heart and listen to your mind. You have a good head on your shoulders and I love you Stahn, be careful and take this food sack you'll need it."
"Thanks grandpa, I love you too and tell Lilith that I love her and I'm sorry I didn't say goodbye to her. I just don't think I could handle her reaction.
"You let me worry about her, you just be careful and come back alive. Go on get before she wakes up." Stahn sees the tears in his grandfather’s eyes and hugs him suddenly. They hold the embrace for a second then let go, and both of them have tears flowing down their cheeks. Without another word Stahn is on his way and his grandfather watches until he is gone.
---------------------------------------------
"You are late Leon. What took so long?"
"I was busy doing Hugo’s dirty work Ilene, Is Lydon here?"
"He’s downstairs follow me." Leon follows Ilene down the hall and then they walk down the stairs to see Lydon sitting in a chair smoking a pipe.
"Bout time you got here, Batista is ready to take control of the temple and all he is waiting on is me and the Draconis. I still don't see why you can't give me control of it here.
"We need to remain undetected by King Daryl until the proper moment. We’ve been over this before I would think you would understand by now?"
"Oh I understand all right you want me to take all the heat so if this backfires you can pretend you had nothing to do with it.
Leon stares coldly" That’s about right you got a problem with that?"
"Enough Leon, we have work to do is everything ready?"
"Yes Ilene, the only thing the Draconis waits on is this swordian. I'd be more worried bout Lydon and his ragtag bunch," Leon sneered.
"Yea right, no mercs this time only grade A Barbarian muscle. They will be under my full control and we will take control of the Draconis with no problems."
"Ha, I’ll believe that when I see it. I'm going to drop this swordian off and the Draconis should take off within the hour. Make sure you are ready!"
"Waiting on you baby butt." And with that Leon is up the stairs and out the house with Ilene trailing behind.
---------------------------------------------
Stahn settles in a corner of the Draconis and thinks to himself how lucky he is to ride on a flying dragon instead of sailing on a ship. He can't help but think of Lilith and how she will feel about this when she wakes up. He knows that grandpa will take care of her but he also knows that Lilith will be mad as hell that he didn't say goodbye. He falls asleep thinking she will forget all about it when he shows up as a hero who has saved the world.

i loved it very very much and thought it was the perfect prequel to tales of destiny, i especially loved the accurate characterization! here is my addition to it:
*******************************
"Mirror mirror on the wall who is the manliest of them all?"
"Why I don't know," sighed Ilene. "Who could it POSSIBLY be?"
"It is me, the MIGHTY KONGMAN!" cried out the Mighty Kongman flexing his huge pectorals.
"Your a genius!" exclaimed Ilene all fullly of excitement. "I am lucky to have you as a boyfriend. There is no other that can be smarter. And you have the biggest pectorals I have ever seen."
"I know," said the Mighty Kongman, "that is why I am the Mighty Kongman and you are not the Mighty Ilene. But you could be if you follow my fabulous training regimen. You are want to become the Mighty Ilene, right?"
"I think I will pass." She said with a coy smirk.
"So um well I am not good with linguisitics but um um uh"
"Yes sweety?"
"C-C-C-C-Can we eat Softy Creem together?" finally blurted out Mighty Kongman. He was red in the face and blushing very hard through his manly dark tanned skin the shade of burnished bronze and his chocolate hazel eyes shining in the moonlight like beautiful chocolate stars. The Mighty Kongman was a manly figure in the moonlight and even Ilene was impressed. "We have never gone that far before!"
"Hahaha yes of course sweety!" Ilene checked her iPhone. "Uhoh but look at the time I must be going, maybe another day! Bye!"
"Wait!! Ilene!!" shouted the Mighty Kongman but it was too late she was already on the horizon.
"Soon..." thought Ileene secret and evily. "I will have the champion in the palm of my hands and then the plan will go according to plan... Ha Ha Ha!"
**********************************
"Bururaaaaaaaaa!!!" shouted Barbatos. He had lured a flock of eggbears to his camp so he could destroy them all with his bare hands to train. Soon the day he would fight the past version of the guy he already killed was close at hand. Bloody eggbear hands covered with blood of eggbears. He licked it and grinned. "I will kill you Stahn Aileron, again! BURUAAA" He leaned back against a tree and rested for his fatal wound from the other day was making him a bit tired. He decided to go to sleep for now.

Didn't Stahn's parents die before the game began?

I'm pretty sure his parents did die but i thought that the story would be better if he had some one close to him instead of his grand father. Any one else disagree. I am planning on righting a full story to this but some things from the game won't make sence in a book so...... I have decided to change a few things to make an incredible story that the game didin't tell you. I would really appreicate feed back cuz I want to make this a story fans would love to read over and over again. But if its not any good I don't want to waste my time. this was just a fore shadowing of what is to come. if you like it and think I should continue let me know. If I feel like no one is interested then I will lose all confidence about my writing ability and give it up but if its good then I think I may have found a new career

Thats what I want, if the fans like it and they can make money on it then why not. Its not anywhere near finished and that first part is just a rough draft. It will get better and bigger. does no one else like it?

Good luck with writing. If any of your stories are made into a Tales game, I'm playing(provided it has NewGame+).

Made a few revisons mainly to the first section with leon and chaltier. I would do more but I worked a 15 hour shift today and I'm tired. I have been thinking that leon and stahn should get to be real good friends like brothers so that the scene where they fight and it will be a one on one fight will be a tear jerker. Any thoughts on that?

I have polished the prlude to the point that I'm pretty much finished with it. I'm going to start working on the rest of the story now a few of the things I chabged were instead of having stahns dad i have changed it back to his grandfather so that it would remain true to the story and i went in a little deeper with their talk before stahn leaves home. I did some minor grammer changes. I want to make this into a novel because I loved this game and say all kinds of untold stories in it. I just really want people to see the game the way I saw it.

It is nice and an entertaining read about a game I liked ever since my childhood. You have a true gift and a lot of talent. That takes an exceptionally imaginative mind to create these type of stories because every single detail counts. If there is just one error it could mess the whole thing up but I don't see anything wrong with it. It's very engaging and easy to understand.
I think it could have the potential to getting on Namco's "to do list" or atleast their "to consider" list. Good job on it and I wish you luck in future projects.
