I want to play symphonia 1 (i read the manga) I only played like 20 hours of the game as a childhood friends that i don't have contact with anymore. And the PAL version of the game is so exensive like 200$, I am not kidding.

So i wounder if there is a possibility that someone can take the script from symphonia 1 and put it in the PS2 version?

It whould be a life saver

It's true; there's more to it than what you're thinking and you'd need a modded PS2 to play it anyway.

Yes i know it's no easy task thats why i'm "begging" and i got a modded PS2 (i whould buy the ps2 game before palying it tough)

But i only asked cuz the game have beeen out for so long and noone have cared about it.

It whould be kinda the same as Tales Of Vesperia PS3 translation

It would and it wouldn't be the same; the basic idea of taking the content from a game released in Japan for one console and porting it to the game's Japan-only enhanced port on another console is the same, but that's about where things end.
Someone on the official Tales forums was working on a translation patch for Symphonia PS2 awhile back, but IIRC they gave up when they couldn't get variable-width fonts to work
( S o   t h i n g s   l o o k e d   l i k e   t h i s . )
Vesperia PS3, on the other hand, has coding for VWF already in the game (I think? I'll have to check with Tempus and his translation team to say for sure), so that's one huge obstacle out of the way.

There's another factor as well: In spite of the added content the PS2 version is said to have horrible load-times that simply did not exist in the Gamecube version of Symphonia. I haven't played it myself so I can't really say, but -theoretically- you should be able to get around that by running the game from the harddrive (if you're using an older PS2 and not using a USB HDD, that is).

The load times aren't that big of a deal with using USB Loader to run the game off the harddrive.
The big issue is that the battles are 30FPS instead of 60FPS like the Gamecube version...so sloowwww, the additional content isn't worth it with the performance drop. So it's not surprising people aren't hard at work trying to get variable-width fonts working on it, it really isn't worth the effort for such a subpar port.

Try to play with the 50hz PAL version and in comparaison PS2 battles are way faster...

The battles don't look good, though. The cel-shading even looks *****ed up on the PS2 version, everything looks over layered with a grey-ish tint instead of the black, crisp looking image you get on the GC.
On a technical and graphical level, the GC version is 100% better.
