Just a few gameplay related questions for ToP (PS1 ver.), was wondering if anyone here might know about any of these.  I've been writing a guide for ToP for a while now, even though it's almost done there's still a few things that confuse me and unfortunately there really aren't any resources for this version of the game in English that I know of.

The first thing I was wondering about was a few of the stats. The first two are the Evasion and Accuracy stats. I'd assume Evasion helps you successfully guard attacks and Accuracy helps you successfully hit the enemy, but with no way to hack the stats I have no way of testing anything. (With codes I was able to change the base Agility stat, but it doesn't affect the Evasion/Accuracy stats this way and I haven't found any codes for them).

The next is the Luck stat, which is really vague, even the instruction booklet says something like "influences various things in battle"...I'd assume it helps increase critical hits and item drops. Using a code I was able to turn it to 999 and items seemed to drop much more often. I didn't notice an increase in critical hits, but it did seem to let me successfully block attacks practically all the time. Trying it against a strong enemy like Lilith, it seemed like I could block every one of her attacks which is impossible in a normal game.

Another thing that I can't figure out is the seemingly random nullification of weapon attacks. Like you'll hit an enemy with a weapon, but the attack just bounces off and a little orange spark appears. You can see this by fighting the Clay Golem or Basilisk King in the arena, or fighting Lilith, Odin, or other strong enemies, it's hard to get a combo on them since your attacks just pass right through them (for what it matters, I fought them with a level 50-something Cless with the Muramasa, the highest Accuracy weapon I had).

At first I thought it might be that enemies who can nullify the "Non-Elemental" element have a chance to nullify non-elemental weapons. But since Origin completely Absorbs non-elemental attacks, and weapons can still damage him, I figured that must only apply to non-elemental spells like Meteor Swarm. (Mint's Earring Accessory seems to work like this). Plus, the first two monsters listed are completely neutral to Non-Elemental attacks, but they still have this problem going on. So then I figured, maybe Accuracy has to do with it? But then, these guys have pretty low Agility stats, so that doesn't seem right:

Sorry for the tl;dr, I just figured some of the people here who've hacked into the game or have Japanese guide books and the like might have an idea because I'm pretty clueless lol.

There is actually a separate 'Physical' element, if you want to call it that. It's not listed in the in-game encyclopedia, but the guidebooks document it. That is what determines the chances of your attacks being nullified against enemies like the Clay Golem.

Well that makes a lot more sense now then. Glad to know I'm not going crazy lol. Thanks for your help.

Do the guide books say anything about the stats?
