Apparently they're talking with the Japanese about it.

Speaking of which, I think all of us with a PSN account should take the time to vote up the comment that is linked in that article, no matter how skeptical we are.

There is only one thing I can think of that seems appropriate:

Oh, you mean like how I linked to that blog in another topic already on this page?

Hah, I'm just giving you a hard time. I'm the one who told Shawn about the blog, actually.

The rest of the news update was news to me though. That sounds promising. Maybe.

And Dimentionalist, you can also create a PSN if you own a PSP, you know.

Interesting that they respond to Facebook comments and handwritten letters get generic PR copypastas. At least we know how to get out voices heard  Cheesy

I have a PSP but it's in CFW limbo (and has been since 2007) until I get custom firmware off with a Pandora battery.

You don't need  Pandora battery in order to get rid of the CFW. Just download and run an official FW upgrade.

On the topic though, I already made my vote.

Wait, won't upgrading from CFW to OFW brick your system? I've had this since 2007, it's like 3.80OE or something like that.

I did it when I had one of the 5.x ones and had no bricking issues. Dunno about yours, though.

Of course they are in talks with their Japanese side about "bringing games" to the US. They gotta bring something to the US or else their localization department is completely useless and pointless...

I've actually found myself wondering if the reason why they haven't attacked any Tales games lately has more to do with the in-house attitude than actual market demand and sales. (Like, everyone's on a total JRPG burnout, since they're not exactly the easiest and most straight forward of games to work on and LOC test. "Damn! Not another Tales! We have to do some WORK to get one of those done! Can't we just do another Pac-Man, Tekken, Compilation Disc, or something?")

Although most of the time they stonewall, so having them actually respond to the comments is surprising.

Guess someone didn't take out their summer vacation and had nothing better to do at the office than accidentally logging in with the corporate facebook account instead of his own haha

You can run original games that require newer firmwares on it without ripping them, you know?

Haha I know, I love it Tongue .

Obviously it'd be nice to believe "they're working" on it, but no doubt when companies release statements like this, a big part of it is quelling fan uprisings and trying to at least try to stay on peoples' good sides--or possibly move a little away from their bad sides toward their good sides.

But at the basest level, we can AT LEAST take comfort knowing they ARE aware of the level of outrage...though if they surfed the Internet at all, it'd be easy to figure out Americans'/international English-speakers' outrage at the lack of US titles--this outrage has been there for years..
