True story, he was a special guest at Australia's 'A Night in Fantasia' symphonic game music concert. Despite ToL not being released here, 3 tracks were played.

His eyes lit up when I said I imported and played Legendia and he said something hurriedly in Japanese to me, then proceeded to specially sign my concert guide, drawing a Doraemon caricature on it as well as his uberlarge signature. I feel special. |D

Nice! Although Legendia isn't my favorite Tales game, I can say without hesitation that Go Shiina's music was the absolute highlight of that game.  I wish they would have a concert like that somewhere close to me, that whole event sounded pretty awesome.

Lucky you. I really hope Go Shiina composes for future Tales games. I like Sakuraba... but his usually good music is getting kind of stale.  Embarrassed  I want a breath of fresh air.

Well, in comparing him to Sakuraba, the two really have different styles.  Go Shiina is more up-tempo while Sakuraba's best stuff is certainly orchestral sort of songs.  So for some pieces, I much prefer Sakuraba's style, but Go Shiina certainly has many places that he's outdone Sakuraba.  I'd love to see them both work on the same game, that would be a hell of an OST.

Man, Chuc.  That's really something there, meeting Go Shiina.  You're one lucky person.

Aaah! I'm so jealous, I wanted to go to that but couldn't because of money/travel reasons.

Congratulations on getting something truly special. Cheesy

Lucky you. Go Shiina is one of my favourite videogame music composers. I would love to meet him personally.

So not only do I like his music better than Sakuraba... I think he looks way cooler, too. He seems like a fun dude. Man I'd kill to have been there.

Oh cool! If nothing else, Go Shiina's music made Legendia worthwhile.
I loved the electric violin  Cheesy
Though, I'm not really familiar with his other works though, would someone please be so kind of to point me at some other uptempo soundtracks/music he's done?
