So, does anybody else feel that this game is just a big love letter to fans of the 2D Tales battle system? It's just non-stop, fast-paced action, action, action! I feel like I'm getting three times the action I got out of the same allotment of time in Abyss (and comparing the number of encounters to hours would show that I'm right).

I just picked up Philia last night and I'm stuck at boring work now. Sad

I LOVE what they've done with the controller vibration in this game.. you can literally FEEL critical hits, combos and blocked hits. Screw Sony for taking that out of the PS3 controller.. games like this really show that it'll be missed.

By the way.. how could I forget this? Wink

In Chelsea's hut there is a Mr. Driller and a Heihachi (I think) doll on the shelf.
The rooms in the inn of Janos have Pac-Man rugs.

It is a Team Destiny work after all (or maybe it should be renamed to "Team Eternia" as the core staff is pretty much the same since that game minus the second game design dude who started Team Symphonia). The way how they mixed their usual pictorial style with faint 3D is a relief to me since they will likely keep that approach when doing a Tales on a next-gen system (only two years to wait for it  Tongue).

Also from what I read elsewhere the game is very heavy on cameons, you will be able to find far more than this.  Grin

Yeah, I'm keeping up with mostly classic Namco cameos as I'm sure everybody will know the Tales cameos. I do know that Mimi Bread is in the game somewhere and Kratos took the place of Cress and Arche for the quiz. Oh, and Rutee sells a Mieu doll at the start of the game instead of an Old Cane.

My father is pretty pissed off at me so I'll have to wait even longer. Plus I have that stupid one game a month rule which means I'll won't this until January since I want Portrait of Ruin first >_>

If its like Eternia and all the other 2D games in terms of battle system then I'll obviously like this one a lot >_>

Okay, there's a guy in every town that brings up a selection menu with three kanji-laced entries.. does anybody know what these guys do? It kind of reminds me of the guy in every town of Destiny 2 that sold rune bottles for refining.

Each town has this person that will tell you his name and ask if you can do some errands for him. Choose the first option and he'll tell you who's the client, his location and what you need to buy for him. If you successfully do it, you get some Gald.

Eg: The guy from Janos asks if you can give 4 Leather Armour to the guy in Harmentz and the reward will be 5000 Gald. Accept the offer and give the goods to the other guy for the money.

It's more like an alternate way to get Gald if you don't want to sell your lens but the profit is high.

Ah, thanks.. I'm guessing that once you accept a job you'll have to finish it before taking another? Because I think I took that first offer and since I had no clue what I was doing, it appears all the guys now won't do anything. It's not a big deal if all it is is gald since I am doing quite well as is.

I stopped at Moreu last night, my crew is at level 30.. except Leon for some reason is level 31 even though I threw him into the support role as soon as I could. I'm really hoping somebody gets an accessory list or something up soon, I'd like to use all the raw materials I have.. none of the Japanese sites I have bookmarked have any guides running yet (I guess the game is still brand new, duh).

I like the new blue herbs, they're pretty.

Over at GameFAQs (I know, I know..) a few people are mentioning web games that you can play on Namco's site and then you get passwords to enable new moves for your characters in the game. Does anybody have more info on this? Like, where I would put the passwords in, etc.?

I hope the screenshots will give you some clue, because I can't read a lot of it...

And I think that spot is where you get passwords from the game to input on the web...

Oh, and if you're going to get the web passwords from the games... I really really hope you like Sudoku...
