By "undub" I mean making an image [burn and play] that uses the localized translation but still keeps the original japanese voices...

Has anyone downloaded and had good/bad experience with said project?
Or do you think it's a total crock and not even worth my bandwitdth.

Worth it if you really prefer the Japanese voices. The only problem I remember is that when enemies are hit, they use their English damage voice clips. Also the patch doesn't fix problems that were already in the American version like the mystic arte freezing glitch.

so you POSITIVELY need to patch it before burning it?
I've never encountered the mystic arte freezing glitch like you described so I guess I'm lucky *lol*
I've been doing some reading around and there have been some people that complain that the sound just doesnt work after a certain point in the game...I'm just debating if it's worth a download of 3.something  gigs or just skip it...

That's why you need the patch (aka the "syncfix"). It corrects that problem on the original Undub's ISO. Anyway I've been playing my TotA Undub for a while and I've yet to encounter a single problem that already isn't in the standard English version.

Oh, I said patch without knowing it, but there is still a patch. The original undub version isn't a patch, but instead a full game(maybe it was originally, but you'll be able to find the full game). But there is a patch for it that fixes that sound problem you read about.

Yes, but it doesn't voice the CQs in Japanese if that's what you're hoping.

Oh, that reminds me. Same problem happened with Abyss' undub, the skits are still unvoiced in the undub. I think they did the same thing with Legendia in that they did something that blocks any sound clip from being played instead of simply dummying out the parts they didn't decide to dub.

Actually, I did discover a couple minor flaws in the undub. During the war scenario when your party splits up and heads to Chesedonia, the event voices stop working; but it's temporary---It's a harmless glitch(?) that only lasts until the 2nd visit to the Zao Ruins. At its Passage Ring though, the event voices go silent again for a while, (I'm just before Inista Marsh right now and it's still quiet). I know they do reactivate again, I just don't know exactly when yet.
