Okay, I happen to be a visitor to the
Speed Demos Archive site for speed runs on games. I just happen to take notice of their update on October 26 where they updated saying they have their first speed run for Tales of Symphonia on the site.
It got me a little curious that I just wanted to ask something regarding the topic.
Just how many people have attempted a speed run for a Tales game? Not necessarily here (I mean, I'm aware here alone would be more of a "no one" answer) but anywhere. It seems like it would be a difficult thing to do considering it's an RPG, especially if it involves starting the game off fresh (i.e. not a new game plus). It's nothing like speeding through a Mario game or, the one game series that encourages it, a Metroid game. I should also mention that said Tales of Symphonia speed run was manageable because it was a team effort of four.
Also got me asking because I know one of the achievement for Tales of Vesperia is to complete the game in under 15 hours. Though in that regard, getting that achievement may have involved doing an Ex New Game. Yeah, I'm not getting that any time.
But yeah, seeing a Tales game get speed run has got my interest. I'm just curious to see if anyone has seen someone attempted one. Other than the one I mentioned of course.
