I went ahead and made some Custom Jewel Case Inserts and CD Art in anticipation of the upcoming English Patch for Tales of Phantasia for the PSOne.

I could probably host these locally when the release is finally ready.

Though I wonder if you could simulate the spine parts more closely with regular PSX games on the rear cover? i.e. they're a solid black, not white. I can provide the logo straight from game image data if need be. It's in a pretty good resolution too.

I like Version 2 but I think the title should go at the top in the middle. I think it would look better there.

"version two" looks totally sweet Tongue

if you want to save on download times/bandwidth/space, high-quality jpeg might be better. easily 60-70% savings at virtually no quality loss.

I agree with Kajitani - Just make sure the quality percentage is high enough... Smiley

That would be ideal. ^_^

Ah, so it will fit in with USA Games? That's cool. I went ahead and made a second version, as per your request, with the black spines and the word "PlayStation".

Hmm... The ToP logo blocks most of Klarth's pointy hat, but yeah, putting the logo there does make it look more 'Centered'. As per your request, I made Version 3 of the Front Case Insert, and included it in a rar file along with Cless' request.

I haven't had much luck making 'virtually lossless' jpegs with Paint Shop Pro 7. Can you reccomend a program that has better results?

It just occurred to me that I'm unsure if ToP has Rumble support or if it supports the Multitap... So here are some icons you can use if it does:

Nice custom art.  It'll definitely look nice when I get a case to house the burned CD of the translated game.

Also, the game does support rumble and the multitap.  Weird that they didn't mention the rumble on the back of the actual case.  However, I think with the same thing as Tales of Destiny PS1, they probably didn't mention it since the channeling ring accessory was what opened the other characters to be controlled and was just silent about that option.

personally, i like V2 a lot better... it's too small, and the location is too awkward, in V3.

as for high-quality jpegizing... photoshop of course works well. paint.net is also nice. the idea is that you want to turn the quality slider way up, in the 90+ or even 95+ range. (at least for paint.net; the quality number to visual quality relationship might vary between programs/implementations.)

Maybe you can host the psp Custom EBOOT (icons, and backgrounds), even whit PP logo in then.

I cant find any decent one to use. Embarrassed

I made my own inserts, but they're at home (not here.) Funny thing is, I also used the text from the GBA box.  Smiley

Those are nicely done.  I was actually going to make some myself, but I've been hard-pressed to find any good quality scans of the Japanese covers and CD to use as source material.
