If you're going the emulator route, you won't have to burn it on a disc at all. It's preferable that you don't if you're going to play on an emulator. The load times are better and you save a blank CD. For burning on to a CD for play on PS1 or PS2, then you'll need a burning program. A highly recommended one is Alcohol 120%.

Yeah I think they were planning a PPF patch? Those are super easy to apply...all you gotta do is get a patcher.

Rip the iso with something like iso buster to bin/cue. Apply the patch. Reburn with something like Alcohol 120 and you'll be good to go.

ToP is likely going to need a custom patch format. Or someone other than myself is going to need to make a CD-Tool script.

But I'd really love to just go with something simple like PPF. I'm hoping to possibly come up with a work around for that to happen. But at this time it looks like the archive containing the game's filesystem is getting larger. If it was shrinking, it'd be easy.

Sometimes I just wish there was a disc image patching format that compared the individual FILES on the disc and not just the whole image......

Guy i think it will be more easily if when finished the translation upload the entire image of patched game. Many will have trouble in patching it. If it go in any torrent tracker such as emuparadise many will seed it.

Anyway is just a suggestion. I will stay tuned for any notice posted here...

A patch is more convient though because Cless can put it on the site without having to worry about too many legal issues. If he creats a full patched image and submits it like that this site would be rendered illegal meaning he would only end up submitting it to other emulation sites and we'd have to run around and guess which site its uploaded on, too much trouble.

Patching isn't too difficult though, if you find patching hard then you need help.

Just a question regarding one cameo character. Are you going to use Lilith or Lyris? I don't think this is has been discussed but if it was I apologize.

Here's where I found the name the last time. If you look up at Google(type Lyris Aileron), some of the Japanese sites uses Lyris as well.

Other than for the reason mentioned by Goshi, there are other reasons. Distrubuting the whole image file of a patched Phantasia would give Cless the kind of publicity he doesn't want. Also there are other people out there who would upload the whole image on other sites themselves.

Also Cless' intention was to release it for people who have their own original copy. You would make your own image file, apply the patch, and reburn and enjoy. He personally has said he will laugh if people who got the game through "other" means try to apply the patch and it doesn't work.
