Would it be possible to release a translation patch that optimises for the PSP? Like rendering a wider view,  advanced button config, and maybe even Video and Audio adjustment options. Being able to play the game with the screen fitting vertically and not having it stretched would be great.

Rather than go to all that work, wouldn't it make more sense just to port the work on the PSX version over to the PSP version of ToP.  I mean, I understand the sentiment, but it seems like when a better version already exists on the PSP, it would make more sense to work on that version later then it would to modify the settings yourself.  But I'm not so savvy on the hacking side of things, so perhaps I'm wrong.

Is popstation an app for converting PSX ISOs or does it refer to the emulator itself?

POPStation is the emulator.

Search for an application called "Popstation GUI" to convert isos to eboots.

I've used a GUI called Ice Tea. Does that use popstation? Does Popstation offer anything better than IceTea?

popstation is a part of newer psp firmwares which allow the psp to run psx games dled from the playstation network, but using some specific files from these dled games plus a program to convert them you can combine these files with a ps1 game to make it psp compatible.... so long as your psp is modded that is

Um..

"Popstation" is the sony emulator.

"Popstation GUI" is the name of a program that converts isos to eboots, which the popstation emulator reads.

I've never heard of IceTea before, but from the sounds of it, it's the exact same thing as PopstationGUI, although since PopstationGUI is what most people use these days, I'm going to assume it has more customization options or is easier to use.

Can't seem to find Popstation GUI, if there are no rules against it, I'd like to ask for a link to the official site.

PS: Yes. I tried Googe

How do I get a multi-disc game to play? Will it make 2 different game files? after finishing disc one and saving, do I leave the game and start the iso made for disc 2; then load that save file off the menu?

for multidisc games you gotta make an image for each disc, then save at the end of the disc and reload your save data.... you gotta make sure you use the same game id as well otherwise it wont load the old one.

also if the game dont save at the end of the disc (chrono cross) your pretty much sol, unless you make your last save convert it change discs via emulator on your pc save, reconvert back to psp format and continue.... a little to much work imho

Actually, this would have been true a month ago, but now it's not.

If you check out maxconsole forums, in their PS emulation on PSP section, people have found solutions for games like Chrono Cross where you don't have a save thing before changing discs.

And yeah, for games where you can save at the end, just edit the GameID on disc2,3,etc to be the same as Disc 1's while making the eboot.
