If you want to play Tales of Destiny Remake and understand mostly everything thats going on the site I posted below has pretty much completely translated the game.

There are some things that have yet to be translated but they have so much that it doesn't matter too much. For those of you who have been playing it without knowing what they're saying exactly, well there you go now.

I would really like to know if theres anyway for me to rip the sprites from my PSP version and include them on the PSX version I have now. It would be really cool if I could. I like the PSP sprites better personally.

yeah after tod2 it'd be great to see tales of destiny remake and tales of rebirth translated although this probably doesn't sound very motivating since this is my first post...

Code:
Cless' project here will be using the scaled (psp?) sprites; right?
I felt that it would be a significant difference to mention; if I am remembering correctly. At least that makes me want to assign more brownie points in one direction.

There will be option to choose between the PSP sprites or the PSOne sprites. Either through two different patches or through a menu option.

Also nice to see you're still working on it after Absolute Zero's release, goes to show how devoted you are to completing the project. I wish you guys the best of luck!

i had the impression that cless wasn't using the PSP sprites.

I don't recall Cless saying anything about using the PSP sprites either. He just used them in a few progress screenshots, but I don't recall him saying he would definitely use them. Even when asked, I don't think he even answered whether he'll use them.

I am positive he said something along lines that you could choose which one you prefer  since it took little effort to implement the PSP sprites in the first place.

He never directly said yes or no. And looking at the very last post of this thread,
http://forum.tales-cless....sprite-in-the-psx-version
you suddenly made the assumption that there would be two when Cless never directly said so. He had a few musings, but never said yes or no. Looking at the entire thread again, you can see Cless considered it but never said anything definitive.

Is there anyway we could impliment those sprites our selves. Because personally I have both games and if I knew how to do it (If someone could tell me how to Smiley, or point me where I could learn to) I would do it myself.

On the topic of next translated games, I wouldn't throw Tales of Symphonia PS2 Remake out. Just because. Of course, please don't think I'm pestering you to do it now, I'm not even asking. ^^; Just suggesting.

Props to the people who translated Tales of Eternia.  They've managed to create the only translated Tales game that people aren't asking to have retranslated. Wink

I used the PSP spanish patch for tales of Eternia. Pretty cool. The voices give it away but its good practice for anyone wanting to learn spanish.

You used our Tales of Eternia translation? (I was one of the translators) If you want to learn Spanish, we are now translating Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Destiny. Maybe you'll find it interesting  Cheesy

Wasn't it re-translated, though? Or is the Ubi version the same as the Namco one?

I believe that it's the same translation.  However, I'm afraid I can't confirm that since (believe it or not) I haven't played the original PSX version of Eternia.  However, from what I've heard about it, I believe the translations to be the same.

Word I've heard from people with the PSP version is it's the same as the NA PS1 version, minus multiplayer, and the early Eurpean version had a bug in Volt's Cave where the game would lock up trying to solve a puzzle, or the door just plain wouldn't open. It's the same voice acting and translation, since they could just recycle it.

apparently they loved the translation so much they couldn't be bothered updating it in RM, so we have tiger blade and light spear, but combined they form demon spiral hammer.

wonderful >_>
