hello everybody!

please somebody help me with this strange "binary" files that stores information in tales games...
is there any software to open this .bin files? i need a program to extract image files (like animation of heroes) and text of dialogs.

i want to try to create my own translation (to russian...) but i have not any software to do it  Sad

first i want to experiment with tales of phantasia of course  Cool

bin files are simply binary files. These can be opened with many hex editors. Please note that it isn't that easy to do a translation just by manually changing hex code though... Since bin files don't contain text, but only hexadecimal numbers (0 to F) when opened in a hex editor.

well in Ps1 phantasia there are at all 4 files - all of them are .bin. and i tried to open them with hex editors - it's awful! all text looks like it's corrupted. 

one of them must contain a battle sprites of heroes. i wonder which of them? and how to open it or convert grafix to bmp or sumthin' like this

It is not corrupted. Did you honestly expect all on the game code to be written in plain text.
