There is a translation of the PSX version that I have found and it is quite complete. (up to the future part) It seemed to me that since you had 0% script translated, (forgive me if you have updated) that you could use theirs. I haven't got permission to post the site yet, but I'm getting it. It's a literal translation of everything boxed. (pretty sure, maybe not menus and stores) It's ". txt" and you can localize whatever because it's literal. I won't post it if you don't want me to but I'm eager to see the finished project. (and im getting tired of reading from the paper every time a box appears)

Oh, well, that's okay. I don't want to force anything. I think the translation is good and am using it (although its harder than I thought, I keep forgetting to look at the translation). I'm taking a Japanese class next year, so I might be of help some time on future projects. Btw, dejap released a new patch recently, I'm about to try it, they said it has lots of updates. It might fix some of the "innacurate" parts.

One class isn't going to make you useful for antyhing a translation group would need you for. You're going to need years of experience to be able to really contribute for translation purposes. You don't get fluent in Japanese in just a year without some very unusual circumstances and natural ability with languages.

It's ToP 1.2, don't know if you've already heard of it. I just found it. They also said they updated Star Ocean.

I thought 1.2 was the one that's been out forever. I think it fixed that item bug that was in older versions of the patch. Sure you're not looking at some out-of-date news?

Whoops! Nevermind then, I didn't see the year. I feel stupid now. ^_^; I haven't updated since then, so it was still new to me! Has their site always looked like that? I remember it looked different.

Wow, I got back from vacation and someone actually stumbled across what I've done on this.  As others have said, Cless wasn't really interested in my translation of it.  Though at that point, I didn't have anything actually done, so I don't blame him.  I posted a similar response to what you said on my blog.  In any case, I'm really excited to see that people are actually finding my translation.  I've always said it was just a holdover until Cless finishes this patch, but if it helps anyone out, that's really great.  So thank you.
