I just saw both screenshots and I gotta tell ya Cless, you've seriously put a lot of effort into this project! Very phenomenal work! It makes the DeJap translation for the SNES version look like it was done by a bunch of pansies! BTW, I'm also delighted you guys have decided to keep continutity with Tales of Symphonia. It'll make the game that much better! Keep up the good work!

Nice stuff. I'll be eagerly anticipating its release. Also, I can tell my friend he can stop suffering through the GBA version because of this.

Ignore me if this is has been pointed out or noticed in the past few months, but was that mispelled "Addtional" due to character limitations, or is it just a typo?

Very much looking forward to the day this is all finished.

Oh wow, I don't think anyone noticed that. It looks like a simple typo to me.

Yeah, it's a typo. We've got plenty of space to fit text. Tongue

Totally awesome, I've always thought that the romanized techniques sounds so much better than the plain english versions (Senbonzakura vs. ultimate spinning blades of beautiful doom =/). Also, love what you're doing to the game, and being a perfectionist myself, I couldn't agree with you more with the constant font changes ^^;;. Though just between you and me, I'd prefer ToP to have higher prioity over ToD (I'm a real die hard ToP fan XP) ... You guys are doing a GREAT job, keep it up!!

Senbonzakura means 1000 books of cherry blossoms (actually I'm not too sure how the book part fits but whatever).

The bon part should be a counter suffix, not book. Japanese has plenty of counter suffixes that depend on the type of object you are counting.

Senbonzakura is a Bleach thing, Byakuya's shikai technique. It just means 1000 Cherry Blossoms. His sword breaks into a thousand sharp blades that look like cherry petals and slice the opponent to pieces. I have no idea what they're calling it in the English comic releases, or what they'll call it in the anime when they get that far.

As for the romanized names for Tales moves, some people just prefer them because they tend to stay fairly consistent, while the names change quite often in the English localizations. If you were used to the romaizations and saw majinken, you'd know what the move did without reading the description. Meanwhile, you'd be hard pressed to catch Sonic Blade and Demon Fang being the same thing at a glance without actually using the moves. Then there's possibly the matter that it just sounds cool to you because it's a foreign word you don't understand. It would probably get really lame to you to hear "Surge Fist" over and over again much faster than hearing "Hadouken" over and over again.

Yeah, pretty much. Granted that some Tales attacks have changed the way they work depending on the game/battle system/character (Like Gurenken), it's a consistant way of keeping track of them all.

The other thing is that most people think the Romanizations sound cooler, and while they might be in pronounciation, that's part of the unintentional ignorance on their part, since Rising Demon Crushing Blow of 1000 Stinging Poison Needles is probably what the word REALLY means, but not knowing that probably makes it preferable to the "evil" english names =P
