(dialogue) FONT CHANGE!! I bet you've never seen this one before!!



Yep... I've always loved this font. It's much more aesthetically pleasing than the last one. And the boldface look does wonders.

I decided to change it again because with a little re-arranging and deleting it's possible to get these descriptions to be 3 lines in length. Thick letters would've been more difficult to work with if we were stuck with 2 lines.

Anyway, the re-arranging in this screen was inspired by ToS. Move the icon over the the side and center it within the box, delete the recipe name (It's redundant and unnecessary, IMO), and reposition the description text. I like it MUCH better this way. The same general idea will be applied to other menus... later.

Looks great.  I'm absolutely loving the font changes.  Looks far better then even most official game localizations even. Smiley

I am going perfectionist on how this translation will be turning out. I don't want anything less than absolute perfection. I want our patch to be the greatest ToP localization in all the universe.

I can't begin to count the number of hours and hours I've sunk into tailoring the main menus alone to my preferences. Christ it's a lot of work. And just when I think I've come up with something great, I come up with an even better idea.

But in the end, it'll be worth it...

The only problem with perfection: it takes time. LoL!

The localization will look great, I think, I'm starting to feel bad for not helping, seeing you working hard like this ._.

I really like the style you are giving to the layout (including fonts), you from now on, my favourite ToP-PSX translation project leader!

I decied to throw in romanizations for people who are more familiar with the Japanese name. I had to do *something* with the furigana space. Of course I could have just removed it, but, meh. I just though it would be a nice little touch...

I agree, the Romanization will be excellent for those players who like to know what the Japanese names were, or prefer to remember skills by what the characters are screaming out (good for the purists and people wanting to compare).

The new font and text alignment looks great, by the way. Cheesy

Well, I really like it, that was a great idea to put that in.  Like others have said, it gives a little something for both those who prefer the Japanese and those who are used to the English.  The more you post about this project, the more I look forward to it.  Keep up the awesome work Cless!
