That's working for me too. I dunno what's going on for you, but I uploaded it to rapidshare: http://rapidshare.com/files/301547414/_598_xdeltaUI.rar.html

This may come out as very stupid but where are the patches mentioned in the first post? I'm referring to "The demo's 7z archive file includes two patch files; top.patch and top.xdelta". The only files I can find linked to in the first post are xdeltaUI.exe/xdelta.exe and the ToPPatcher_win32.exe. Again, sorry for the stupid question as I've probably misinterpreted something. <.<

Going via the demo release topic in the news section or just clickety clicking a bit on the frontpage gets you far Wink

PS: The only time I get a 404 from RHDN on a file is if someone tries to direct link to it. If I go by the entries on the site, everything's fine and dandy.

Thanks, it's working now. I assumed that the patches would be found in this topic, my bad.

Keep up the good work. I look forward to the full release. :>

How are you ripping your disc?

What format?

And are there any mentions of any read errors?
(And have you tried to re-rip the disc?)

not forcing my opinion down anyone's throat, but if Cless posted/upped an actual SFV file to check the BIN/CUE or IMG most wouldn't have this prob. Since no one ever looks @ the checksum hash manually I think creating the SFV file would help everybody having probs  Undecided.

Including an SFV would still require the following;

-The target file to have the same name as what's being referred to in the SFV file.
-The user to have an application capable of reading an SFV an verifying a file based on the information stored within it.
-Reading comprehension

The CRC being listed on both the patch site and the included readme serves about the same purpose.

I'm aware, but I'm sure most ppl who screwed up probably didn't check the CRC  haha. Not to be rude, I'm just saying it'll help out anyone who doesn't want to check the CRC manually (yes, that way's just as, if not more simplistic, I'll admit) and all you really need is quickSFV, nothing else.

Just double click the SFV to do see if there's a mismatch and it'll tell you in a sec (green check if it's good, red "X" for mismatch(es)) , no big deal, and it'll save alot of trouble for ppl trying to find an image w/ the exact CRC/checksum.

Problem is that if you're at the user level of even having an SFV checker installed, you should already be aware of what the problem is when the patching process rejects you 'cause of a CRC error Grin

As for people trying to verify if their image has the exact checksum... sure... you're saving them about nothing. They could just as well right click on their ISO and create an SFV and check if the output SFV contains the same CRC as the one mentioned in the provided documentation for the patch. (and that's the same amount of steps, if not even less, thanks to not needing to make sure the SFV and target file shares the correct filename references) or... they could just skip the entire SFV process and just try to apply the patch (and get rejected if there's a CRC mismatch)

True, they could check the MD5 easy, but once you patch the file you'd name the new rebuilt image whatever you want (as the SFV, hypothetically), if it checks the CRC that way it would be just as easy, but only a suggestion.

It's hard to mess up w/ these patches (actually this one needed an xdelta included only on romhacking.net when I checked, so I was confused a little,  Huh but all I got was the .exe in the archive from here..) if you have the neccessary files, but adding more wouldn't be a bad idea.

Whenever I make uploads I post an SFV for almost everything, so I'd know if the archives, spit, etc. have a missmatch instantly (need to post so ppl don't just assume "it's corrupt" or "doesn't work")

BTW anyone even get an xdelta file here? I only got a ToPPatcher exe, no xdelta patch (except on romhacking.net  Huh)
