A few new questions

I was just reading/looking through some stuff, and I had a few questions.  The first is just about how the item system will be altered by the patch.  I've seen a picture where you changed the katakana characters to ABCD for the item sorting options.  My question is, when the patch is done, will it properly recognize and sort in alphabetical order, or will it still be trying to do it by kana?

Second question:  I saw a picture (I'm not sure if was actually posted anywhere, so I won't repost it) of the OP video with subtitles.  Are you planning to do a karaoke thing for that opening video?  I'd prefer not to have that kind of thing.  But is it part of the plans?  Just curious.  Thanks.

i'm guessing ToP PSX works like ToP GBA, in which case it would have it sort in alphabetical order automatically.

Well, that's right, except that it sorts alphabetically by the Japanese, which is what I was confused about.  Unless there's already a system in place in the game that sorts English characters alphabetically.

EDIT:  I just realized what I think you actually meant Kajitani.  So I just checked my game.  When I sort by kana, it does seem to work with the English characters properly.

So I assume that if only the fonts are being changed, then the sort should still work properly with English characters.  Thank you for helping me with that.

It sorts by checking the byte of the first character in the item name. The lower the value, higher the sort priority. So if you implement the font in the standard linear order, there's no problem...
