I dont get it,Ep. 4 has been released and translated

i just downloaded a torrent [Aoi Anime Tales of Phantasia OVA 1-4] and it had every single episode translated in english. why are ppl still waiting on this release?

why though? btw i'm not trying to bash your translations i actually want to know, i havent seen the versions i downloaded yet just quickly skimmed through them, are they not translated properly or something? or is it just your team uses different words than the other translation thats more accurate (if thats the case i dont mind but if the others dont know what there doing then i'll wait for your release)

cause other than that i dont see why ppl are waiting for this version thats all.

Lazy, can't be bothered. It is pretty easy to get from here as opposed to other areas acutally. But they probably have a reason for preferring the versions offered here.

Perhaps it is because Cless and co are some of the most knowledgable people about Tales compared to other fansub groups. They are localizing ToP-PS1, so with them subbing the animation you can be sure that almost everything is translated accurately and has continuity with the game.

 1) Consistency. When I watch fansubs for a series, I prefer as many of the episodes I watch as possible to be from the same group, so that the same names are used for the same objects, and so that the style of translation is the same. The thing with translation is that every person that translates something that long is likely to come up with different equivalents in tehir language. They also have different knowledge of figures of speech and history that the shows may reference.

2) PP's staff are major Tales fans. They likely know more about various details of the games that the anime might make small reference to, and those details add up into a big change in experience. Aoi-Anime's staff aren't likely such big fans, and thus may not catch things that us fans of the game would actually care about.

If you ask me, PP's translations are much more accurate in terms of the game. Aoi-Anime's subs were too long(trying to translate word for word), and PP's version's easier to read, for me^^. Besides, I'm more contented downloading it from REAL TALES FANS, unlike Aoi-anime.

This might play in his favor though since he apparently hates Episode 8.
