First of all, thank you for fansubbing the series. You are god.

Ok. I tried using Bittorrent to download the current episodes, but, only #3 seemed to download. I set them up so they would each download, only #3 downloaded, and, it took around.... 2-3 hours? The other ones, are saying it would take them 4-5 days each to download. x_x. Is there any other way you could transfer these files? I don't mean to be mean on my first post, but, I reaaaaaaaaly want these episodes! :3

It's just few people are seeding those episodes. It's usually the latest release that gets the most attention. I don't have the eps on my comp, but maybe someone else here can start seeding.

As much as I would love to seed I no longer have them on my comp either, well the files needed to seed. I could leech it off and then keep them seeded, buti f no one is seeding them its kinda impossible Tongue

I don't know what the problem is cause the tracker is reporting 11-12 seeds on each episode..

Well, I'm getting #1 downloaded at least. It went from 5 days to 13 hours. Yay. =3.

I'm glad there was an anime of this, because, I was addicted to the game (GBA version).

Careful, everyone prefers calling him Cless (His original name), you might end up starting a war >_>

Oh and not to backseat mod, don't overuse smilies, they're annoying.

The producers of the game (and therefore OVA) probably meant for it to be Cress, but the DeJap translation used Cless and it's kinda stuck.

What on earth are you talking about!? Haven't seen the Jap intro? It clearly says Cless Alvein voiced by some guy or rather. You obviously have played the Jap version Tongue

The way it goes, is that 'l' and 'r' are interchangeable in Japanese, as most of us might already know. The obvious point is that the game makers intended the plant pun for Mint and Cress, but they either intentionally or unintentionally named the former hero "Cless" whenever they romanized it (ingame, in the manuals, on the official JP sites).

By this technicality, both names are correct because one is the 'official' romanization, and the other lets the plant pun make more literal sense, as well as the aforementioned restrictions to the Japanese language regarding the second letter.

The difference is hardly anything to get worked-up about, so some of us aren't bothered by it. Every now and then you might get an energetic fan who'll insist people on the one they prefer, but when you think about it, what's the point? The Klarth-to-Claus change in the GBA version of the game was worse. Personally, I don't mind whichever gets used. Back when I first played the SFC version of the game (before DeJap released their patch), I thought our hero's name was "Cress" too, just from reading the Katakana without seeing any romanizations.

Bleh, it's all because there's no th sound in Japanese so they have to use a S sound... The translators were probably aware of that, but maybe they decided to make it Claus because he makes clauses/pacts with summon spirits, har har har.

Anyway, Japanese mix up Ls and Rs all the time. I just switch them in my head if it doesn't sound right... Whenever I read Cress, I still see Cless in my mind and I say Cless out loud if I'm reading it...

I got some Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger pics that show some screw ups on the profiles for characters in English. Only the first pic actually screws up L and R, and the others are just for laughs.

As already mentioned there isn't anyone seeding them. And like I've said above I no longer have the above files so I cannot seed, however others here can probably do it, just wait.

Whenever I see the Cless/Cress debate, I always think of a story I heard from D on the subject.

In one game (not sure which) he saw a female character clearly and uneqivocally named 'Blenda' in the Japanese manual. Understandably, he said he would change it to 'Brenda' to match what the developers clearly intended to call her rather than leaving her sharing a name with a common kitchen appliance.

The moral of the story is that these games and their related manuals are made by Japanese people with only a rudimentary understanding of English (which is still better than my understanding of Japanese). They make lots of mistakes and frequently value aesthetics over actual meaning. Placing absolute trust in them when it comes to a translation is missing the point. There are more important factors to be considered.
