I've gandered at this site a few times in the past months, and I admire the work being done with translating the games that never were translated and left to stay on Japan's shores.

From what I know, this isn't the main one having work on it, but rather Tales of Destiny 2, so this isn't a priority to do at the moment. So what I ask is this; is there any recent progress being done? And if not, is this on hiatus solely for the fact you have concentrated on something else, or is it a lack of something to progress further in the progress of it.

Sorry if I am being a burden like I am demanding something, I am just curious on how it's going is all.

It's going.  While the main focus on the forum these days is on ToD2 and that's where most of Cless' effort is going, Cyllya and I are still working on the translating part of things.  So when Cless does get back to this project, hopefully we'll be able to hand him a completed product, which will make things easier on everyone in the long run.  At the very least, things aren't sitting still, which I think we can all agree is a good thing.

Well, that's cool to hear that there is some work being done on it. Quite a number of translation projects that catch my eyes are normally put on hold, then hiatus, then canceled. Nice to know this isn't one of those  Tongue

Per chance are there any plans to do the second Tales of Phantasia sequel, Summoners Lineage, once Narikiri Dungeon is done?

I don't think Cless was interested in that one. Gogs was working on a patch for a while, but I think he formally scrapped it. SamoRine's a real stinker to fit everything in the menu even more so than ND1 though.

Well, it's less in demand because, unlike ND1, it doesn't really add much to ToP's plot.

i'm pretty sure this thread represents the latest stuff that's been done on that game. which is to say, not that much, besides gogs's item translations and a few graphical changes on my part. the font is really, REALLY easy to change to at least an 8-wide FWF, though.

screenshot that basically sums it up below:

i'm thinking this would be a fair bit harder than ND2, if only because of the need for double-byte encoding, plus my inability to figure out how to add spaces to those words there (ChainM, etc.).

Wow..didn't know anyone had started to take a stab at Summoner's Lineage. Kajitani-san, was that you and gogeta that did the work that produced that screen, or those rom-hacking.net people?

(I don't feel like joining their forum to see that thread  Embarrassed )
