Nope, the script is different, plus the original localization was very shitty, so even then it would deserve a new translation

Yes by a lot , first of all they introduced new personalities on the characters (like chelsea loving Woody, Kongy loving Philia...), added new scenes for the side characters to join, and many scenes where edited to the point where they arent the same, to just fit the side characters as regular party members.
Plus there are a lot of scenes that were tweaked, like the scene where you meet Ilene, or such.
So yeah, it cant be used at all, if you copy pasted it you would have characters speaking the wrong dialogue Tongue

The story itself has been significantly altered from the PSX version, so the changes to individual lines of dialogue are more drastic. In fact, I'd guess that a very limited number of lines remain the same (and those were probably left for the sake of nostalgia).

As far as I know she didnt have any lovey-dopvey dialogue in the USA, or at least not at the level of the remake, where she goes "WOODROW SAMA!!! LOOK AT ME!"

neither of those are new, seeing as how they were in ND2.

She definitely had a thing for Woodrow in the US PSX version... Maybe it's more pronounced now or something, but it's always been there.

I don't remember about the Kongman/Philia thing, though. Since the non-swordian characters were optional in the second half of the original, I don't recall them adding much to the story past the first half. And Kongman doesn't have much of a role during it. Maybe the "skits" that were cut made the difference.

She had a thing for him in the USA? I thought it was more like a friendship (maybe it was my mislead interpretation)

I dunno how Kongman was in the original, as I brought Chelsea along for the ride in the end.
But, yeah, she had her lines of dialog revealing her interest for Ga*cough* Mr. Kelvin.

But I guess it wasnt that obvious, cause I didnt notice until ToD2 XD, where chelsea is waiting at the cab for woody
Though on ToDr hacing Chelsea and Woody on your party you have a chance to get "Woodrow sama, WATASHI WA! WATASHI WAAAAA!!" ugh and when woody is not in "Woodrow sama... INAAAA" >.>
So I guess its a *super tiny slightly bit* more implicit
