Thanks to all the parts involved in this project I can finally justify the Tales of Destiny directors cut purchase almost a year ago, other than "i'm a blind tales fan, lol!"
This is a great new years present, thanks.

Could be mistaken. But it was definatley released this year.

My thoughts exactly
It's Rutee, or perhaps you'd like to make "Liam" angry?

"most likely," I'd say to being able to use old save data from unpatched version.
A clear game save will probably work without problems. One that is in an active game session will probably end up with some undesirably garbled names (but a simple use of the rename feature will solve that for you).

If it's part of the menu/general interface, it'll be in the menu patch. If it's part of something else, don't have too high expectations for seeing it before the full game is done. I guess that'd be the rule of thumb for people to follow for questions like that

One menu thing that might not be there (I'm not sure if we talked about it) is the Summary stuff. A lot of that is really long. So rather that might be something for the full patch rather than the menu one.

Oh, yeah! I forgot about the synopsis/story-progression thingy...
Yeah, I guess that one might be a bit too much. (For the menu "only" translation)

And aside from that, it's duplicated in two files. One of those files is very risky. The translation will take up more room than the Japanese, and may overflow the allocated memory for the menu files. It'll need to be relocated (and I know a place it can be moved to safely), but I'll also need Klarth's next Atlas version (which is still currently vaporware), unless I get off my butt and make my own inserter for it.

If it's in the executable file can you not just move it in there?
If I remember right, there is a huge chunk of unused space in it that is more than enough for the menu.
May I ask which file it is? Curious...
Also, with the summary, wouldn't you have to move the names about everywhere since they automatically get used from the current displayed names of the characters?
If you didn't then you'd be doing a lot of re wording XD.
