I read somewhere that they would be based on their Japanese names... not the odd changes they made to the English one.  Seriously... Garr?  WHY?

Garr was probably a product of a mixture of display length issue and how Woodrow doesn't exactly sound like a first name (although it actually kinda is)

(Johnny -> Karyl... Johnny is probably taken from Johnny B. Goode. But I assume that since Johnny is a nick for generic John-based names they decided to go with something else. Interestingly enough, that "something else" was "Karyl," which is somewhat similar to Carol, which interestingly enough happens to be the name of another Chuck Berry Rock'n Roll song from 1958.)

I really, really think at the time, Namco Hometek thought their audience would confuse Johnny for a girl so they decided they may as well refer to him as a female. I caught this in Eternia recently and was looking for a reason to post it.

I know.
I didn't say I thought he was a girl, I said I never thought he was a girl.
Meaning despite what Namco thought I did not ever mistake him for a girl, new he was a male all along.

It's a nightmare getting it fixed because my last ones motherboard fried so I needed a new PS2, which I got re modded.
This re mod works about 100000 x better than the last one and I've had it less than a year, I hope it lasts the life time of my last PS2. XD
It wasn't the mod that broke it, the guy said the PS2 had just basically had it's life.
My PS2 better not break before this patch is released because I don't know where to get it modded now and Swap Magic for europe isn't exactly easy to get hold of.

I may have to try and figure out how to download it and make it work like some hackers do on that aluccard forum.

what model do you have? check the back or bottom for SCPH-xxxxx

Anyway if it's SCPH-5xxxxx and up the motherboard fried most likely because the laser and the motherboard voltage are basically in short circuit, so they die from voltage problems (that can be adressed by a laser fix, but after it's dying or have died, there's nothing to do anymore) if it's a fat there's something you still might try (messing with the laser intensity) on the slims I dunno.

Disc not spinning at all might be the drive motor itself too.
