Thanks for the update, Cless! Love hearing all of the nitty-gritty shit going on behind the screen shots. Some of the (now overcome) issues you mentioned in your update remind me all too much of issues we faced in Tales of Rebirth, so you have my deepest sympathy. I think we even have a similar method for translating the skit/script.

More or less finished up the script autoformat code. It's messier than I'd envisioned, but at least it's still really fast.

No problems like that at all, really. I think the worst stuff of that type is already overcome.

Battle subtitles would be a cool thing to add to the game, but those are pretty far beyond me.

Meh.  Not really necessary anyway.  At a faster game, you usually don't have time to look up at the battle subtitles like in Abyss or something.

That's really true.  Quirky after battle quotes has always been a great part of playing the games like;

Been a fairly busy last few weeks so there hasn't been much movement in that time, but I'm picking up the pace again.

Our spreadsheets have gotten a nice little upgrade. First it was just plain-text CSV files, but now we've got a system in place to make it easier to work with something else that allows formatting options. Setting fonts in cells is kind of useful for things like this where the text is fixed-width and manual formatting is needed. In this case, Courier New does the job well.

Also, I played the game a bunch more and finally found a place that displays that party titles earned message. This helps me finalize the auto-translate file generated by code for virtually identical strings repeated in every single script file, but are different because they, for some reason, use different control codes.

Next thing I want to do is get the menu text in spreadsheets.

Hi!! Total noob here ^^

I've been following the updates for a long time now, and I see this is really going somewhere (Still keeping fingers crossed and palms together praying to whoever's up there... and down too just in case)

Just wanted to say "NICE DAMN JOB, PP!!". And hope the patch comes anytime soon. Got my copy of ToD:DC for a while now, but I'm still waiting to play it for the first time with your translation (at least the menu)

Cless, if I can help in any way, let me know. I don't know much japanese, and lack of ASM hacking skills. But I have a lot of free time now, and got lighting fast (and pretty accurate) fingers if you need someone to type the text
