i really hope not this is probly the best translation idea ever for any games out there!

the FAQ says March 2009 for the menu patch, is that date still standing or we can expect a delay on it?

thanks and good luck on it if your still working on it guys.

Well, throughhim's been translating some stuff on and off. I haven't touched it since January to take a break/continue working on ToP.

I'd like to edit the translations, and make sure we have clear ideas before we get the menu patch out. But ToP is my priority until I run out of things to do on it.

I'd still like to edit and prepare the ToD2 menu patch too, since the menu translation of that was completed to little fanfare over a month ago. So much to do...

Just do what you can Cless.
If I were you I would make Phantasia my main priority also. You've been working on it for so long I'm assuming you're going to be ecstatic what's you can officially say "It's finished!".
Tales of Destiny: DC should be the last priority in my opinion, I've changed my tune quite a lot now and I just think that you should focus your attention on ones that have been neglected for so long due to this project.

Tales of Destiny: DC should be the last priority in my opinion

Tales of Destiny 2 and Tales of Destiny - Director's Cut have a lot in common beyond just the usual bag of franchise terminology. As they share a whole lot of "Game Universe" terms (for obvious reasons), these two projects will pretty much be running more and more hand in hand the closer they get to the finish line (for the menu patches, full game patches and any evt. updates).

No offense meant to the great people who're stepping up to do stuff on ToD2 (keep up the good work), but when it comes to checking and final editing of stuff; it will really need a whole lot of extra effort compared to what'll be necessary for ToDrDC.  It's just a natural thing that comes with having many people, with different styles, involved in the translation process vs mainly having one person handle the translations.

well forgive Cless if what I'll say hurt your feelings any how but... did not absolute zero create  that patch already? aren't you guys working with them/ him now? if them/him did created the patch for tales of symphonia, would think it'd be best you put your effort in unreleased projects, counting with their help and Lanyn's help it'd be much faster; but like I said, forgive me if I said any nonsense, I didn't mean no harm, I'm just trying to understand it all; all said, see ya folks.

We did create a patch for Phantasia, but Absolute Zero and Phantasian Productions are working together on Tales of Destiny, not Tales of Phantasia. Cless and I decided a while back that we wanted to go in different directions with our Phantasia patches. There's no harm in having two separate patches and both have their merits. I hope we can leave it at that.

What I think everyone is misunderstanding is that Tales of Phantasia really isn't holding up the Destiny project. They are both moving independently, so it's not as if dedicating time to one causes the other to stand still.

I know all of these already guys, but cless seems so concerned with Phantasia and all that stuff that sometimes it seems to me that it's a case of honor for him in doing that Patch, and you throughhim already did it, so I thought, why not getting all the others projects going on 'cause they're unfinished here and at everywhere. and I've seen a few posts from Cless saying that first comes the Phantasia patch and his gonna put all of his endeavour in it and only in it; but I'll do what everyone else does, wait, see ya.

It's been nine years. It actually stresses me out that it's STILL not finished yet, and I don't want to throw it on the backburner in favor of other projects. And I still want to do the best job I possibly can with it. It's that simple.

understood Cless, I don't doubt you're in too deep in this project and I know that it's annoying when you want to get something done and it just drags along, but since I'm not helping you out I'll wait here patiently and cheering for you all, it's good to know that you're so focused; but between you and me, it's a matter of honor isn't it? Tongue. see ya pal.

I've forgot to mention that I've already played tales of Phantasia in Portuguese in a pc emulator and it was wonderful, I suggest for any Portuguese-speaking person to try it, it worths your time.

i thinks its as simple matter of telling someone what to do with their free time. not to be rude but if you told me not to go to the pub after work or get a cheeseburger when i wanted to i would tell you where you could go right back at ya fella  haha

so go to the pub and  get drunk or eat your cheeseburger and get fat, it's your choice and yours alone, and I didn't intend to tell anyone what to do, wo am I to do so? I was only arguing, comenting, chatting, talking and etc. I guess I have the right, don't I? so I'll repeat myself, I'll do what I'm able to do whilst the project isn't done, wait; I'll wait relaxed knowing that so many diligent people are involved in all these projects and I'll do what is right for me to do now, I'm gonna thank those same diligent and open-hearted people for all the sleepless nights they've spent Grin
