I can't even patch the file...
The patches instantly closes when I open it.

...what are you guys doing? Xdelta3 is a command line program.

1) Dump a normal, raw ISO image of the game with ImgBurn. Don't use any other format.

2) Download the patch that suits your version of the game

3) Stick the ISO, patch, and xdelta3.exe in the same directory

4) Either use the command line to cd to that directory or create a batch file (text file with extension .bat) in the directory.

5) If at the directory via command line, use this command:

xdelta3 -d -s input.iso patchname.delta output.iso

input.iso = the name of the unpatched ISO
patchname.delta = the name of the .delta patch file you are using
output.iso = what you want the patched ISO to to be called

If doing it it by batch file, open the batch file in Notepad and enter the same command above in it, with the proper filenames.

If you did it right, it will create a patched ISO by the name you declared in place of output.iso. Burn it and run it on your modded PS2.

If you're STILL having problems try this crappy thing I hacked up...

Put it in the directory with xdelta3.exe (don't rename it!), the ISO, and the patch file. Run it and follow the prompts. They will just ask you what the files are called. If you entered the file names correctly it will work.

This is about as simple as I can make this. I don't have the programming experience to create a super simple mouse-controlled windows GUI program.

it's pretty easy, actually... grab visual basic .NET express from microsoft's site and code away.

It's a checksum. Google QuickSFV, in stall it then right click the file and select "Create .SFV". then look at the file created in notepad.

That was my suspicion. Xdelta verifies the file being patched is the same base file used in the patch creation process. So the resulting ISO will only be the same as the one I created on my end. In case of problems, it's more than likely something on the user's end...

I used an Angte (wtf?) DVD and only got to the first orphanage part... it crashed when I tried to open the menu right after meeting Rutee for the first time. Crappy DVDs ARE a problem indeed. Tongue
